Ok. I have a bit of a funny story about Neil, the rooster I got from sj. Neil has a very unique crow. Kind of like a loud and very long 'ur-urrgghh'. Anyway, we all commented on how different it was from the rest of our boys so every time he crowed someone was always saying "what's that?"
Well, very early this morning around 6am (the new 5am) I woke up from a sound sleep because someone was frantically yelling 'MOTHER!" over and over. My brain was still so foggy that I was trying to process what I was hearing and who was yelling it. I actually thought it was my oldest daughter whose room is upstairs. Immediately I thought 'oh my God. What's wrong!' as she has some health issues right now. So I stumble out of bed and as I start toward the stairs I heard it again...in the opposite direction. Huh? My brain finally caught up and I realized the person yelling for me was Neil! His crowing sounded like he was yelling mother in my just woken up stupor.
I was foolish enough to tell DH and the kids about my mistake and not only did they get a great laugh out of it, but since then every time he crows I hear a mimicking 'mother!' from my kids.
