RaZ, I am thinking, you are going to win this sucker. Why? Cuz you are obviously a smart guy. Good luck. AND I think you should have a right to know, but you know what they'll say... They cant tell you because they'd worry on retaliation. I am thinking its probably some one you forgot go to butter up, or a new neighbor? BUT, now you will definetly have to hillbilly the heck out of your yard, in a "Most charming" manner. LOL. I can't believe it. Some people just have way to much time on their hands in order to bother with what their neighbors are doing and go and file complaints.

There is a guy who moved in across the street into the apts they've built in the old corn field. I heard him loud and clear complaining one afternoon that had he known that their were loud a** roosters around, he wouldn't have moved in, Maybe would have to complain. His buddy that was with him was laughing at him. DUDE, my house, Carls house, the house 2 down on beeline, the house next to the blueberry field, the house on the other side of the apts, and 2 houses next to the school... we all have chickens and several of us have ducks. The apts are the only spot in our little triangle of streets that is zones R1. Everything else in our triangle are zoned A1. I know.. I checked... I didn't want to have to have my chickens be locked up... BUT I would if It meant I would have to get rid of them. I know how to build grow boxes, I'd plant all kinds of grasses, and other fun stuff on the garage floor, and hang plant lights/sun lights, and goodness knows my garage isn't meant for a car, or lawn mower... LOL.

Funny how some folks would complain about your chickens and then see absolutely nothing wrong with their cat using your flower beds as its primary litter box. Or the folks who never seem to hear their barking dog can hear a rooster from 12 blocks away. Most of these inane ordinances were enacted by folks who want to give out in the country and then immediately start trying to turn it into the city.

Just got back from picking some birds from Munsells Poultry Processing. They built there building specifically for poultry processing and the really have a nice facility. The birds looked great and they were vacuum sealed. Great people to do business with.

Storms starting to move through Jackson. Lots of loud thunder and some lightning. No rain as yet. DH called and said "I'm worried about the dog. I left him outside when I left of work." Me: "Um, we have a covered porch he can go up on. If he ain't bright enough to go up on the porch I guess he gets wet.." The dog doesn't have storm anxiety so its not like he is going to try and get out of the yard. DH is always telling me what a smart dog he is.....I just find that the dog hides his brilliance really well....

I had the most lovely pit bull named Babi.. He was never afraid of thunderstorm until he was in the car with me one night, doing papers, and we had a BAD BAD storm... He was terrified ever since. He used to go into my Dads room and get on the bed with him at night when I wasn't home, or he'd be practically in my lap, panting, shaking... Or he'd hide under my dads desk... Miss that dog... I will post a pic one day. I must say, he was one of my ultimate favorite dogs. Lets see, there was Sinbad ( i did not name him) who was a rottie, then there was Lacey, who was a black and tan dobie runt, then Hatshepseput, a Dalmation Rottie, and then Beregond (bere, pronounced beer for short) a brittany pyreneese mutt, then Babi, then Argus and Rotten Ruby... I went from big dogs to ankle biters... Of them all, only Babi was afraid of thunder.

Severe thunderstorms and now a tornado warning. Looking at the weather map on television we are smack dab right in the middle of the strongest part of the storm. Earlier the rain was really coming down hard. But I guess rain coming down is preferable to coming up. Can you envision how difficult using an umbella would be?

BUT, you could always just put on a Kilt and pretend you were using a bidet...
