Omg! A whole long post lost in cyber oblivion... Now, I am going to have to ask my question all over again... Forget it... I will just do it and if I don't like it later on, I will just deal with it.
how much roost space per bird?

I think most of the "experts" recommend 10" of roosting space per bird. That is what I am planning for in my coop-to-be!

I just can't believe this weather and because I have become addicted to this board and still want to be outside, I've combined both worlds.

That's lemonade in the glass. I can see my pond from the deck, it's still partially frozen, water on top of the ice but it's getting thinner and thinner. I suppose I could go dig in the garden some more.....

Your photobucket link just routes me back to the chicken forum...(couldn't see anything)

My rabbits get lots of treats. I see them sharing with the chix all the time. Love scratch. They eat pumkin and squash and melon, and popcorn, and banana, dried bread, and on and on. I pick dandelions for them in summer. Well, I found some small ones today. My two bunnies share the run with the chix.
Hate for momma bunny to have gas! Ouch!! Need pic of the babies!!

I gave my angora doe a little piece of carrot yesterday.....she ended up having messypoo....and I had to clip around her toucus.

I have these treats that the petshop wanted me to try for free....neither my buck or doe will touch it. (at least I didn't pay for it)

The ordinance officer finally called back. Asked what was going on and I told him the neighbor is POed about the tree in the front and the wild ducks that fly in to her pool. He asked if they were my ducks and I said that they are wild and fly in each year. And they come over to my yard to eat from the bird feeders.

He said that he gets the ducks in his pool every year as well. He also said that he did not see any chickens, just wrote the sticker based on the complaint. Now he wants to come out for a look-see on Friday.

Now I'll have to box up the chickens Thursday night and find a place to hide them

:: chuckles :: The ordinace officer that I have delt with was super cool. hopefully yours is too. I've even had animal control out to my house....cause a neighbor thought my chickens were too hot becuase she didn't see them outside. (becuase they were all hanging out in the coop where I had set like 20 ice jugs....if she would have asked me....) Yet, no issue.

So I am praying that you will, also, have no issue.

....of course, not sure why he has to come BACK out if he didn't see them the first time.

Mom2emAll, I'm glad you saw a doctor and I completely understand you dismay with the surgeon. I would like to find a doctor that does medicine instead of practice. When I build a house for someone they expect me to know how to build it, not to "practice" building it.
