I feel bad that it is so bright and sunny here and so gloomy in Washington, but Chicken Rustler will just have to move east if he expects sunshine on a regular basis. With the number of people wanting good weather I figure the sun must be just about used up by the time it travels all the way to Washington.

This is the exact reason you could not pay me enough to ever move to the left coast. I get out there often, and it is always rainy, gloomy, cloudy, damp, gray, etc. Always happy to leave!

Now I can't wait to get back to Michigan, you guys have been talking about the wonderful weather, and I have missed out on all of it. Hoping to be back home on Thursday having been gone for six days...

(probably just in time for it to rain and turn cold again).

You can eat toad legs?

I honestly don't know about toad legs, but frog legs are pretty darn tasty. There's a bar/restaurant in the little town of Riverdale, MI (yep, where BYC member "Riverdale" is from) that is infamous for their deep-fried frog legs. They're not bad.

Oh my gosh it is so beautiful today here too! 75ish and SO sunny. A stiff breeze, but that just makes it all refreshing.

Also, I fell in a pond today. There are a pair of ponds on the property, and as I was admiring some frogs, lost my footing and went SPLOOSH! It was quite cold, and definitely not a pond I'd want to swim in (all murky n full of ick, haha). And it is quite deep despite the small size. Ah well, I got to see the frogs up close. There are lots of globs of frogspawn around the base of reeds n stuff, so tadpoles will be hatching shortly!

Thank you for your responses. Thanks for the details too Raz. The 2 that I have seem to be feathering out at the same rate, but one is a little smaller than the other. They are both less feathered then the other 4 so I hope that doesn't mean they are both roos, gaahh! lol...We'll see what happens. I hope I can get my coop finished tonight & get them outside for a few hours while it's still nice out. I am a lot newer to chickens than all of you are from what I've read from you guys, so any pointers and tips you have I'm open to hear anything. :) I also look forward to making some friends too!
