I was on a bit ago to ask a couple questions but got distracted reading the many pages of posts and forgot the questions.

My Welsummer roo has always walked with a strange high step stiff legged gate. Today I was noticing his feet. His toes do not touch the ground because his claws point down. I don't imagine there is much I can do for him but wondered if anyone else has seen this.

Second question, can I put two broody hens in the same coop or will there be fights?

Baby girl finally managed to catch herself a chicken

She was so excited she went chasing them all around until she caught another.

Well, those are some very tolerant chickens (and the tot is pretty gorgeous!)

do they like them?

I have been told they like jerusalem artichokes, so so far none that I planted came up these last two years. I can't remember what the particulars were, but I remember thinking the seeds were pretty needy. We'll see if I get anything this year.

Better shot of the hop shoot.

Nice! I haven't even checked on mine, I am totally running out to see what they are doing as soon as I post this message... probably strangling each other.

When I say I can't cut strait... Well, you will have to see. LOL. It is that bad. LOL. I did not even take the doors off. SO, You will see.

Can you believe Meijer was out of potato salad and hot dog buns? yeah. wrong. so wrong.

Okay, Nova, I am getting really curious to see what you end up with out there, lol. The guy in front of me at Meijer just a bit ago was getting a rain check on buns.

They are very much so. Actually, usually the problem is getting them away from you, lol. They follow you everywhere, all the time. My kids have to go hide in their play house if they want to have a snack or eat outside. The little one got her PB&J stolen in a fly by last Fall, and she was not happy. They have been handled by my kids since they were day olds, I hope our new chickens are at lease relatively friendly as well.

Oh, yes, Totalcolour and Fuzzybutt, if you prefer you can also just click on the photo and drag the corner to whatever size you want, both in the photos you are posting and the photos in your quotes.

Hi Everyone....logged on a few minutes ago to see whats what....72 post....jump off and right back on and 5 more. I don't got time to read everything but I san say it's a pretty safe bet that it's all chicken related..lol.

Juise......precious pictures. I'd make a special photo album for her or do a wall grouping of them!!

About a chicken garden.....thought about planting one cause it seems to be the first place they go when let out. Plus DH wouldn't have a cow because they are eating his heirloom tomatoes!!

Roopert....

He was starting to take off when I snapped this one, but as you can see, he is going to be a one beautiful mutt roo. He is a faverolle mix. IF there is someone who wants to give him a good home, and not dinner, I'd be willing to part with him. But if all your gonna do is eat him, then I will keep him and eat him myself. And that little white pullet next to him, thats the one he keeps jumping... In the "YOUR MY PEICE!" sorta way. LOL. He has not attacked Mr. Fluffers again. Yet. LOL

So, any opinions on what he is mixed with?
