I think it'd be very hard to really clean anything with a plug for drainage. Those darn ducks (and geese) make SUCH a poopy mess. Even two days of swimming with a couple ducks and there's a layer of poop sludge in the bottom of their pool.
As painful as it probably is, it's still a beautiful pond!!Yup, we have to pump it every couple of weeks, spring summer and fall, and it's a royal PAIN!

I'm graduating with my vet tech degree in a couple months...does anyone know of any animal hospitals/veterinarians in the Charlotte/Lansing/Eaton Rapids area (and surrounding) that are looking to hire a tech? Or know a place that might need one but isnt officially hiring? I am doing a day of resume distributing next week and wondered if there were any in particular that I should visit. Thanks in advance for any info you might have.![]()
Thanks!! Luckily the only class I'll be taking while doing my externships in a couple weeks is the board review class, so I hope it really helps! 10 weeks of preparation for the exams I hope will be enough. The state board exam is a week after graduation, then The national is in July so I'll have to study for that whole month to remember it in the meantime lol. I'm excited to be done w/school but it's also bittersweet because I've made some good friends and we're such a small class (only 13 of us) that we're all pretty close. But it's been a fun ride, learned a lot!! And I cant believe its the end already, I remember 3 years ago thinking OMG 3 more years!! Now I'm like OMG, 3 more MONTHS??Congratulations! It is tough, and the boards are something else. i wish you luck. Don't forget, you arent just looking for a 'job'..make sure you work for a place that shares your values, as well...because it is heck to work for a place that does things that you do not believe in. Find out- do they require pain meds? Do they do declaws/tail amps/ear cropping..etc etc etc..things that you may feel strongly about, the clinic may feel differently.
For your boards..among everything else you have to know- be certain you know your cow and sheep breeds..oh, all those stinkin black and white sheep...lol...a few pigs, as well.
