Not doing too much today. Woke up with a mild migraine that is still lingering a bit. I did eventually get up and let the chickens out even though it is raining. They don't seem to be minding it and are happily digging through the old garden area and compost pile. I would imagine they are getting worms aplenty.

RaZ- sorry it didn't go well for you and glad you found your missing ducks.

forgot to mention earlier TSC in Lowell had BR for 49 cents today, one young lady was looking at them and said gads Mom you can buy a chicken for less then a gum ball

no I didn't get any, I left them all for you

Oh, I'm not mad. I was prepared for the ticket. I don't fault the ordinance officer for doing his job either.
I've been outside most of the afternoon, putzing in the yard. The cedars are lined up near the fence, the yard tractor is parked in plain sight as are nearly all of my yard equipment as I am cleaning out the garage. The stereo is on and I'm just opened a barley soda.

Now I just have to find the AWOL mallard. Time for my herding dog to earn her keep.

sounds like a plan to me, give her a slow roast, she wont know what hit her,

I agree. It's not revenge - it is teaching her the consequences of her actions.

well said

Hi Snowflake. I'm in Wyoming near M-6 and Metro Health. I am frequently online reading the forums but try to stay off the
radar with my rather large flock of illegal back yard birds. Trying to keep Raz's troubles from landing at my door.

I'm gonna be in Pinckney, MI tomorrow, so I'll be sure to wave at Howell, since I think there are some BYCers there. I am spending the night in Pinckney with a relative, and then on Sunday, I am picking up two baby goats in Mayville, MI! Being able to break the trip up into two days makes the drive easier.

Went to Alpena today, a week early because my cell phone died and I wanted to talk to the WM peeps about the problem (bad battery, but WM doesn't sell them, and the phone is only 4 months old! grrr). Anyway, I figured I'd have a chance to go to TSC to only look at the chicks, but when I left WM, it took 3 tires to start my car. As it was a bit sluggish on the way in, I decided I better head straight back to the farm and return MIL's phone which I borrowed on the way in, just in case. On the way back my car had trouble accelerating around a really slow truck so I got more worried.By the time I got to the farm , I managed to catch DH who was just leaving and got him to follow me home. Never made it, got about 8 miles and there I was in a typical FORD, found on the road, dead. I think it's the fuel pump. DH thinks it's the fuel pump. We locked up the car drove the other 8 miles into Lincoln and got the guy there to send a wrecker. Of course, they don't work weekends.

So, I have no phone (ordered 2 batteries from Amazon), no car, and no looks at cute chicks. I am enjoying some nice wine though.

Someone post a couple new chick photos please?
