Can I borrow this one? I figure I can spray here with Endust and let her walk around the living room and that will take care of the dog hair tumble weeds.

That is too funny. She does look like a big fluff ball!! Cute.

This has nothing to do with chickens but it something that I find absolutely amazing. Those of you who live around Alpena or Rogers City, you may have seen some reports on the 9 and 10 news. New scientific discoveries right in your own backyard. I would love to be part of this research.

This is really cool. I am from Alpena and I thought that was really neat! I always wanted to go diving up there but never got around to it. Maybe some day. My parents still live up there.

Raz - Not that I would ever self-medicate --

-- but if I did it'd be with 800 mg of Ibuprofen, 1 strong muscle relaxer and two glasses of wine just before bed. And it's not like I have experience with this or anything, but if I did I bet I'd tell you that I've never once had an injury that took more than three consecutive nights of said self-medication to heal, good as new.

Sarah - the hospital in TC is very good. Prayers for your dad and family.

It's cold outside and I'm pouting.

Agreed, however we are supposed to see snow tonight and if it happens I will really be pouting tomorrow.

Oh! Almost forgot...

I put up a fence to keep the chickens and dogs out of the area where I have ornamental grasses and cat tails coming up....

Glad things went well with your daughter. Usually here by the time one kid's problem/issue is settled the other has something going on. Never ending "excitement". What kind is the bird on the right? She is very pretty.

I survived my root canals today. I was so jumpy this morning I skipped my coffee... I'm having it now so I don't take a nap. I'm sure I'll be back later tonight when I can't sleep.

The sun is finally out and I am going to try get some new pictures to share.

Taprock-

that is a Sizzle. Silkie/Frizzle. Smooth feather kind.

Root canals STINK!!!
I hope you have good numbing drugs on board, and that you havent chewed your lip or your cheek or your tongue or anything else.
I think I shall have a coffee with you- and then we can be on here tonight together! :)

ETA: And by "just before bed" I mean give yourself a good 9 hours to sleep thereafter. Not that I would know, but I imagine you could easily oversleep on any such type of self-medication and completely miss your morining, eh hem, responsibilities.
Well for the gout treatment, they gave me an anti-infammitory (Naproxen) and a pain med (Hydrocodon-acetaminophen). Neither one begins to touch the back pain. I have no muscle relaxers and no way to get any. I do have a couple of pills that a friend gave me. She thinks they are valium but isn't sure. If I could get out, I'd try the grape medicine. But I'm still in my jammies and not likely to get to the store.

I definitely wouldn't try that. Nor would I try Vicodin, Diazepam, meloxicam and 2 glasses of wine. But if I did, I bet I would sleep like a babe, all night long, with out any twinges at all. Not that I need any of that stuff.

Bye MI peeps - got to go and clean some bathrooms. I may be back later, just to check and see how everyone is doing.

Oh, I finished a masterpiece painting yesterday! If I have time, I shall start another one today. (Have to fisnish chores before I allow myself to paint)

Seems like DH was prescribed Naproxen for something once, don't remember what, be we found it largely worthless for everything -- including that which it had been prescribed. I'd offer a muscle relaxer but:

1) It's illegal.

2) We're not very close to one another.

3) I'm down to 14, myself. Hopefully DH gets hurt again soon.

I'm thinking I'd have to be on my death bed to take an unidentified pill though. Why did your friend have it if she doesn't even know what it is? And more perplexing, why did she think it'd help if she doesn't even know what it is?
