I definitely wouldn't try that. Nor would I try Vicodin, Diazepam, meloxicam and 2 glasses of wine. But if I did, I bet I would sleep like a babe, all night long, with out any twinges at all. Not that I need any of that stuff.

Either I'm reading sarcasm into a serious post or I've met my match!

I planned on it but circumstances have changed that. But, you already know me anyway LOL

If you need me to pick something up for you let me know...

Can anyone tell me what color this little lion head is? It's a creamy white with lt grey ears, nose, tail... sable point? idk! Anyone looking for a lion head w/pedigrees? I have two that are creamy white, this one, a blue and 2 black. They'll be ready in about a month.

Need a clearer picture...but looks like either a blue tort or a sable point....

Alright! That does it! Does anybody know who has silkies in the west Michigan area? I'm getting really frustrated.with this LG bator. Last time it had a temp spike of 106 just before lockdown. This time I've.really been babysitting it and it still had a temp spike of.104 last night. Checking it every few hours when I get up with the baby anyway. I've got sponges in it and still can't vet humidity above 60. Hatch day tomorrow. Trying not to get my hopes up.

I have silkie chicks...but no older ones...it's hard to find good silkie hens that are available.

TotalColoour-

Dont be scared..lol...Im thinking Olive is the kind of person that can handle it...hahaha...sounded like to me, that you both were agreeing with what you both WOULDNT do...
just like how I wouldnt ever take the recalled Darvocet that I still have stashed in a drawer because it worked so well for my cluster headaches....

I got l a reminder recently that it pays to check several sources before purchasing anything. I need a USPS approved shipping box to send a rooster to Oklahoma. Most site were about $9 for the box and $10 to ship it to me. One place only sold them in lots of 25 and dividing the cost by 25 the per box price was the least expensive. I called to see if they would sell a single box. Sure no problem just give us $15 and almost $17 for shipping. Finally found an approved 6x16x16 box with filters for $5.35 plus $6.30 for priority shipping.

I also discovered that if I go to the USPS website and print out the shipping labels it saves $17

I'm thinking I'd have to be on my death bed to take an unidentified pill though. Why did your friend have it if she doesn't even know what it is? And more perplexing, why did she think it'd help if she doesn't even know what it is?

She was hooked on prescription pain meds and found some that she had stashed. She gave them to me but doesn't remember what the name was.
All I know is that if you don't have insurance you can't get medical care anywhere.

this is my poop board, my coop is 8'x16' the roosts are at least 21/2 ft off the ground witch gives extra floor space under neath this is a summer pic. I use more straw in the winter.

Hope your Dad is doing better, prayers for your Dad and family.

I am brooding my chicks this year on pelleted pine horse bedding, it is so much less dusty and smelly than shavings. I was worried that they would eat it, but that has not been a problem.

I wondered how the pellets would work, I have read of people using them, .May try mixing them in next winter

This is my first year with turkeys. I got these BR last summer. Right now I have 3 toms & 2 hens. ( I know, I need to cull at least one of the toms. Nobody fighting yet though) My hens started laying 3/14. They only laid everyother day for the first 4 days then kicked right in to an egg from each hen every day. Everyday I go out to write the date on the eggs, so I could remove the older ones the more they laid. I kept revolving around 12 eggs. I went out last night, but could not get into the nest. A hen is in there. I believe she is sitting on 14 eggs. That was yesterday evening around 6pm. She is still in there. I did see her out of the coop just before dark for about 30 sec's then she was back inside. Keeping my fingers crossed. They are all between 9-10 months old. The males have been strutting constantly since early january & my husband seen them a cpl times mid-late january breeding.
nice pics. hop you get some little ones

I'll try to post this while I'm still lucid.
I threw out my back yesterday while doing some yard work. It started as a little warning twinge so I stopped working and came in to rest so it would not get worse. Well it was worse this morning when I woke up. I took one of the pain pills they gave me for the gout but I don't think it is working.

I need to be stretched on a rack.

Raz, you seem to be falling apart,,, first the foot now your back, TAKE IT EASY, WILL YA!! hope you feel better soon

cold day today even worse tomorrow, sorry for you people up above Freemont looks like you may get some of that white stuff again

RaZ, a word of caution about being stretched on a rack, it may make your back pain much worse.
BF spent half of last year out of work with back pain and they tried the rack twice to help. Both times he went from pain in just his lower back to severe pain from his butt to his shoulder blades. Thankfully the pain subsided back to just his lower back, we were both concerned that it would be permanent because it lasted so long.

Even with insurance you might not get much for medical care as well. 6 months of doctor visits and the cause of his back pain was never identified and nothing they tried fixed it.
His back pain is tolerable enough that he can work again, so he's done dealing with doctors, at least for the time being.
