Thanks. That's along the lines we were thinking so it's good to hear that's what you'd advise. He's our older guy, developed a lump on his behind a couple weeks ago. I thought maybe it was just a bug bite, but it's grown rather than clearing up so I started looking into it tonight. It's clearly a tumor of some kind; looks like most of the mast cell tumors I'm seeing pictures of. With his age -- he's only 8, but he weighs about 120 lbs and has aged quickly, so I think 8 is actually rather up there for him -- and whatnot we would not proceed with chemo or anything of that sort. We'll probably just take a wait-and-see approach. I did measure it tonight so I could at least see if it grows any more.

My son got his tattoo when he was sixteen and so did my daughter. Didnt want it, but I listened to them for a year and so I was done. My son was going to let the guys on the corner do it. I took him to the shop where I got mine done. Its a quote in honor of his late father.
My daughter got a butterfly on her shoulder- I got the same one. It has a torn wing- I believe I showed you all a picture from my garden last year. Actual butterfly from my garden. And the word, 'survivor' under it. Holds a very special meaning to me, and to her as well- for something truly horrific that she endured and survived. I took alot of flack for allowing it, but

My step-son from wife #2 wanted one. I made him wait until he was 20. Then he got a tat from the guy who did my back. I told him that he had to get something that would have a positive meaning for the rest of his life.

Well, if you really want to know, the reason I drop by multiple times a day is because I am boobing up my baby.

Nursing at the computer offers a lot more amusement than staring at the wall.

Not sure that I understand. Send pictures.

Well Raz, since you are such a pusher, I may eventually take you up on the pieces for the bat house, anyway. I'll let you know when we get closer to chickenstock. I still haven't actually received permission to go, so I am not sure.

I do go over to Ferndale sometimes, but even that is not all that close to you, is it?

I will be getting my chicks next week. Will a very large rubbermaid tub work good? Will I need vent holes?
A big tub will work just fine. Mine were in the one pictured for a few weeks before moving on to bigger digs. For the cover, I took a dog crate separator and laid it on top along with a smaller one with hinges so I only had to open the part where the water and feed were unless I was changing bedding. I stretched a bungee cord from end to end for added protection from the cats.

I have some that look just like that brown one in the center. What kind is that one?....
That chick was sold as an americana from ff&h, but I know that hatcheries don't have true ones so she is most likely an ee.

Glad your dog is ok Raz. That could have ended up terrible.

That would have freaked me out. So glad she's okay.

What does it matter to anyone else how somebody choses to eat? I have always told my kids that everything we do in life is a choice. We make our choices and we live with them. But none the less they are OUR choices. So I just don't see what the big deal is.
I don't see the problem either. Sometimes, I go
sickbyc.gif
over what someone has admitted to on here, but I just move on because I'm sure somewhere along the way I made someone go

, too.

Ha I actually just realized that since my fowl won't really be fenced in anywhere the compost pile is just going to be the local fast food place for them anyway.
Oh, they loooooves it!

Yep, my parents did the same thing. Though we did have the option of making ourselves a PB&J sandwich (they wouldn't make it for anyone and we had better not leave a mess).
"how do you know you don't like it if you don't try it"
I give the pb&j option, too. And, yep, I always say that! LOL Go figure they almost always realize they like it!

Oh dear, I never imagined YOU as a woman who ASKED for permission to do anything.

PS , Ferndale isn't that far from here.
