b737drvr and Opa, Diablo 3 is the third installment of a popular PC game franchise Blizzard (makers of World of Warcraft) finally got around to releasing. Only took them something close to 15-16 years to put the game out for beta testing.

Beta testing is where a small group of people can play the game and report back any bugs, glitches or software issues so the company can fix it before the game comes out. The open beta test this weekend was a stress test for I'm guessing their servers since the game apparently needs constant connection to the internet.

I only know as much as I have read, Juise and ladyfeather can probably explain better. I've never played, but BF has been waiting for it to finally come out and in the past few months he's been debating not buying it at all because they've spent so much time pushing the game back and delaying it's release. It's been so long he needs to basically buy a new computer to run the game. He's not really big into games, but Diablo is his favorite.
A lot of people are excited for the game to finally be coming out, but a good number are also in BF's position where they may just pass on the game because Blizzard spent so many years saying 'next year it'll come out'. I'm personally wary of it, because the game could go the route of Starcraft 2 and be amazing, or the route of Duke Nukem and be a lame duck.

For some stupid reason this seems to be my normal wake up time. Wish I didn't wake so early but it's much better than not waking up so I'm not going to complain too much. Besides the solitude allows me to work the crossword or read a book with no distraction. Once Hope and Granny get up I get pretty busy with their agendas.

I just listened to the weather report and todays is going to be cool and windy. With gusts of over 40 in the forecast you'll need to cinch up your stampede strings.

Not done with yesterday, BF is on 3rd shift and I don't really need to keep any type of schedule so I usually sleep when he sleeps. Staying up late is being awake past noon.

When I let the dogs out this morning nothing erupted into a chorus of honking. I had to stick my head out to make sure the world was still turning.

Haha! Actually they didn't really honk at us either. Well one tried to get a little hissy with me but I was having none of that. Everyone's still here, they made it through the night. All the Scovies are out of the pen now but they're just wandering around the backyard. They don't seem to explore as much as the geese to (even had one of the geese take a test flight last night, though "flight" my be a generous term). And the turkeys even laid an egg each!

OK, You are all up way too early. When I am having to catch up on post and it's not even lunch time here.

Opa, you body clock reminds me of my grandfather, anything past 0530 was considered sleeping in. Although I find myself rolling over and awake most mornings around that same time as I get older, on the weekends coffee is usually brewing by 0600. Something about working the summer's on the farm with him, grandma made breakfast once and only once at 0600 and the truck left for the fields at 0630. It only took one day to realize that eating breakfast was way more important that the extra 20-30 minutes of sleep. I've been a morning person ever since and now enjoy the peace and quiet before the day starts.

I just got done with my physical therapy appointment. Has anyone here ever had "dry needling" done? She is doing that to my hamstring and I think it's working but just wanted to see if anyone else has heard of or has experience with the procedure?

All of it really comes down to if I ever take up hunting. BF will mention teaching me how to shoot properly, then drag his feet about it and never get around to it. He's not much of a hunter either, so I'd have to find someone to go with. Dad may take up hunting on my grandparent's farm again, so I could probably go with him. If nothing else, BF should at least show me how to shoot so I can deal with pests we've trapped rather than waiting for him to get home and do it.

Just my opinion, but I think everyone needs to learn to shoot and handle a gun whether or not they choose to carry, hunt or own one in the future. More of a safety thing. I think at this point my 10 year old can shoot as good as me .... if he can sit still long enough!

Nova ?? - how are you feeling today?

My uncle called me yesterday and wants me to teach him about chickens. He wants to raise them for meat so he doesn't need to know as much but it is rather intimidating. He wants to come visit to look over my 'operation'. I told him mine wasn't a good example but that I could tell him everything I would have done differently had I known anything.

Nice bright day with lots of frost again. I'm waiting on coffee, I filled it earlier and forgot to start it up.
