This is for Juise...
While working on the other trailer, I skinned a knuckle and later said a cuss word.
Are you happy now?

I'm still sick, I am really tired of being sick. Spent last night hugging the toilet after a horrible dizzy / vertigo spell while scraping at that stupid floor. Felt so bad I thought I might just let the blackout take me and spend some unconscious time on the nice cool cement. Stomach is still woozy today, though better, my head is just pounding like all get out. I hope this goes away soon.
You are totally pregnant.

Soooo cute!!

Dotty's feed and pet store here in Clio has burned down. Several workers ran as many animals out as they could but they couldn't save them all. I imagine some of the reptiles and most of the fish were unable to be rescued. The pizza place and dog groomer next to it caught fire as well. I haven't seen any reports of injuries and police have someone in custody for suspicion of starting the fire.
Three fire departments were called together to help keep the blaze under control and put it out. Dotty's was right downtown and if it weren't for the firemen I'm sure many more businesses would have caught fire.

Oh no! :( What are they going to do with all of those animals? Hoping they had good insurance and they can find a good location to reopen for the time being. It is terribly sad not all of the animals could be saved and what a horrible person to do such a thing.

Hi from another Michigander....new at this still dreaming of having my own Backyard chickens!!
:welcome RBahmer- Sorry about your dog. :( Olive! I felt Gert's babies kicking!!! :ya Its very cool! :D Thanks for telling me! Gert and Maisy's stomach are almost touching the ground, and when they lift their back legs to scratch their stomachs, their big bellies prevents them from scratching. :gig Had quite an excitement this morning. :th Came home from work this morning early (I had asked my boss if I could have the morning off, but he needed me, but said that I can leave an hour and a half earlier.) so I can make it to church this time, for I have been coming home too late to get ready for church for the past 3 months. :barnie Checked the chickens, gave the hogs breakfast, and was filling the hogs water tub, when my dad got my attention from the house. He was waving me over, so I was heading to the pump to turn the water off, when my mom said ''hurry!'' I said ''hold on! I have to turn the water off!'' Then I ran to the house, and my mom shouted that the neighbors had called and said that the calves are at the neighbor's across the road! :barnie As I ran to the neighbor's, I grabbed our dog's chewing stick to use to get the steers home, and one of my sister joined me in her Sunday dress carrying ropes and a slender stick. The calves were munching the not as mowed as often part of the very large yard. (But hey, free mowing and fertilizing service! :D ) We started steering them home, by thumping them with the sticks, but they were going in different ways than what we want them to go. I said that we will focus on the tamest one first, than the other one will follow us. But the tamest calf- ''November'' wanted a head scratch instead, I just smacked his behind, and told him that he is a bad boy, and had to go back home. We had to go through two ditches, and through the brambles to get to our yard, but Pancake-the other calf was standing on the road watching us. My brother and I had to get him off the road. Thank goodness that our road is not a busy type. Not very many cars goes on it. Herded them to where their pasture is, and as we got closer, I could see where they broke through. The wires were messed up and on the ground. I told my other sister to unplug the fence charger, so we can get the calves back in. But they would not go over the wire, so I smacked Pancake's rear as hard as I could, he jumped over the wire followed by November. :yesss: Here are the escapees- These were taken last week. They are 5 months old now. November Pancake My dad thinks that the fence charger is not working right, even though we brought it new a few months ago! :barnie Ok, have a good night, I am very tired. :th

That stinks, on account of the animals and all the customers that effects. Not to mention the other damaged businesses. :( That's going to hurt the town a bit, what a shame. :(

Farmerboy, Those girls don't look one bit sorry!

Well, spent the afternoon making my gate (hey, said i did it, not that i was fast :D ) Got it on the hinges and whatnot with little incidence, other than one finger getting a little flatter. Little turds already figured out how to jump on the gate, so i'm going to have to get the covered run done really soon.

Frogged around with my little flower bed some more, sprinkled some seeds on the bare spots of my little retreat, then hauled buckets of water from the creek trying to water that sand.... i think i'm gonna have to put down something for mulch, though that's going to excite the chickens into wanting to scratch MORE....

Oh well, i can lock ALL the stinkers out now, funny how high that gate looks when they want IN, lol.
Btw, i'm thinking of painting at least part of the gate an "obnoxious" pink, to match my "obnoxiously cheerful" aqua! I want to do the trellis piece of the gate and the skirting with a mahagony colored wood stain, if we can get it . I'm going girlie on this, ha ha ha.

Nova, my son is doing fine. The doc was right about 4 days after it started he was back to normal. Thanks for asking.

Would like to go back to Friday afternoon and start over, we had our van broken into Friday night. Didn't notice until Saturday afternoon and spent the rest of the day working with the us and german cops. We'll see what insurance says today.

I agree with Opa the weather must be pretty nice back there, I woke up to only 35 post this am vs. the normal 80 to120.

Good Morning All..

RaZ!! I told my husband that you have a garden tractor and cart- and he said that would sure make moving dirt a lot easier..
Should have heard us both with our aches and pains last night..I think my daughter was ready to put us in a nursing home.
She was conveniently not home all day to help.

Daron cows loose not good fun- we have gotten phone calls to come help on several occasions over the years when my brother in laws cows get out. The last time, the bull (wasnt supposed to be a bull, but he was indeed) broke out and ended up on the main road. Police came with a ROPE.
lau.gif
Asked my nephew if he could put it around the bulls neck. Nephew asked, "Are YOU going to hold on to the end of the rope?"

Juise, when are you due?

And there were other comments I needed to make- but I didnt quote, so i cant remember.

Ferret, that is SO SAD about the petstore. Sad for the other businesses as well, but sad that the animals could not escape.

Today is a BIG day. We have bosses/top people flying in from California to be at our staff meeting. Makes for an interesting day.
