No, just blown out. Used to leave them whole (tradition is you leave them whole...lots of old Ukrainians out there are agast that I empty my eggs LOL) ....but every once and awhile...pop...stink...yuk. So now I blow them all out.

Sheesh... I have a butt load of duck eggs. Seems people around here don't wanna try them! I can't believe it. It grosses them out. I actually got the neighbor to give them a try. He actually liked them once he tried. DUH! LOL.

Well my ducks are laying machines. 4 eggs a day, and only for a week or so there a bit ago did they stop laying everyday... was only getting 2-3 eggs a day for a bit. But now they are back up to 4 a day. LOL. I can sell the chicken eggs good and quick. Just not the duck... go figure.

I had ducks growing up.. pekings. The eggs made my stomach upset... too much sulfur I think. If they were in something like cake they didn't bother me as much, but if I made french toast or something I had tummy problems all day. And I really wanted to eat them!!!!

Hey, ROger keeps standing on one foot. I looked at both of his feet to see what could be the problem with the one he is babying.. I can't see any thing wrong. He's just started this. What should I be looking for?

I get queezy with them too. LOL. I like the way the taste though, so every so often, I will eat one with chicken eggs and that seems to work out then. But alone.. Nope. LOL. I have no problem with baking with them either. My kids can eat them no problem, but they don't want to eat eggs every day either.

Speaking as a complete novice couldn't you use a less insulated/more ventilated coop for breeds like Chanteclers which were bred for Canadian winters? I'm not saying just a nest box and a run but maybe a platform with thick bedding, nest boxes, a roof, and short walls to break the wind?

Sorry about the picture quality, I scanned an old photo and didn't resize or anything. I'm the guy in the middle and the haircut had just been done after a 24 game so we were pretty grungy.

The guy on the left is Brent "Preacher", his do was purple and the guy on the right is John "Jabba", his was weird yellow. Both of them are on the plus side of 350 pounds... so I look pretty slim, eh?
