Mamma duck got hit by a car, these guys were hanging with her body and someone picked them up. I guess they were feeding them bread before they turned them over to M2M who called me and I went to fetch them home.

They will be inside for several weeks, so unless you tell Crabby, she will never know.

Hey! There's an idea. I can post her phone number and everyone can call her and say what they think.

I set Icelandic, Cuckoo Marans, a few Partridge Penedesenca, Lakenvelders, a couple Blue Splash Marans, a couple Blue Marans, a couple Speckled Sussex, and a few Golden Campines. A few mutts also.

Hmmm, you just set them today? So they won't be ready until end of May? I might take some off your hands. Not sure how many chickens I want to keep going forward, but know for sure I have no interest in raising chicks until it's warm outside... late May might be about perfect.

I tried to scan another picture when my grey hair was down past my shoulder blades but it was taken at dusk and the photo was pretty dark.

I was going to ask how you could think he looks like anyone just from the top of his head, but maybe it's just that's I'm short and don't see the tops of anyones heads...

RaZ not only came and got the ducklings- but he met my cats and my dogs and my Uggos and my banties and my hens. He also saw the swamp that used to be my backyard.
My husband was crabby and shoveling dirt so he didnt socialize- I apologize, he is usually much more outgoing and friendly, but he has been a grump for two days. Excessive physical labor will do that to him, I guess. That and I cant help shovel because my shoulder is trash.

The weather was nice enough to being a downpour when our dirt was delivered. Sure isnt as much dirt as I thought it was going to be. I need a huge semi-truck to come dump dirt.

I still like RaZ's idea of astro-turf.

Or we could go with concrete- and paint it green.

Raz it is definitely a good thing. He's tough and an awesome guy, he just made some bad decisions by taking drugs. He's feeling it these days but he still builds bikes and tells me stories of how he used to be a bouncer at some of the old concert halls in Detroit.
