I hope everyone had a Wonderful Mother's Day. We certainly couldn't of asked for nicer weather to celebrate the day with family & loved ones. I'm currently finishing up on the celebrating. This is the wine my 12 yr. old son picked out to get me when he went with his father to the store. He said he knew I would like because it had a rooster on it! lol

Cheers To Everyone!

Happy Mother's day to all of you mothers! Especially to my own mother! :love She has given birth to us 9 kids, and took very good care of us. And worked hard to get us 6 deaf kids to be able to talk and hear. I am very grateful for that.

This was my 2nd oldest brother's wedding, it was taken in January. My oldest brother and his wife are on the right, and they are expecting their first child in October. :yesss:

I brought that one home once for the same reason -- I shamelessly shop wines according to which labels catch my eye. Once being the key word in that sentence though. LOL!

What a wonderful mother indeed. You both are truly blessed and what a wonderful pic of your family. You mother must be one proud lady!

LOL. Nice Vino!

I hope everyone had a great Mothers day. And that includes the dads who do the mothers job as well.

Worked. That sucked. Got home, felt ill from no sleep. That sucked. Drank some valarien and peppermint, tummy felt better, and so got my butt to work and finished the tractor. I have installed the family in there. It was a trip and a half catching the babies and getting them over there. I got Leila and 2 of the babies first. Then Roger was letting me know he was so totally not happy with me man handling his family, he kept getting in between me and them. Rotten turd. Finally got them all over, then Hawk decided she wanted to investigate them in their new coop. She is such a sweet girl. Well anyway... Had to get in there to put them all up, since they've never used a ramp, and one of the little SLW's was a total spaz and made me WORK to get her. Again Roger was Mr. Man. Then I got him up, and he decided he didn't want to be up, and went back down. I left him. He know's how to go up and down. He's in now on his own. I hope their new home holds for a while.

I started moving pullets from the chuckles coop to the summer coop. Boy... Its going to be a challenge getting them all moved and adjusted. The cockerels will stay in the chuckles coop until they go to camp. Roopert hurt himself today. I can not see any external injuries, so I am assuming that he sprained a leg muscle fighting with one of the other boys.... Or Mr. Fluffers who has no problem kicking...

My poor Laia... I need to get her some ducklings... That poor thing. I keep taking the eggs away, but she's pulled out a lot of down to line the nest.. Actually, I just need to keep taking the eggs way. If they aint there, she won't sit, but she sits on them until I collect them, then gets all distressed cuz I took them. I feel so bad. BUT THEY AREN'T FERTILE! Think I could get her 2 ducklings on tuesday and she'd take them? I don't want to get ducks and not have her take them. Hell, I should just break her... Get a boy, and let her sit next year.

Well, anyway, have a nice sleep all. Catch ya tomorrow.

This is my showgirl roo that I dyed.
This is one of my modern game pullets.
Did the other chickens pick on the one dyed? What did you use? And what kind of disposition do modern game have? They are so cute but kind of scary at the same time.

Those are great family pictures Farmerboy and Bianca.

We went to my mom and dads for a bonfire and banana splits tonight. All my family except hubby and I went to Mackinaw today. 50 cent historic park and free trip to the Island day. Not my idea of a relaxing day to go stand in huge lines. Instead I once again chased guineas through the swamp/field and ended up covered in burrs, added mosquito bites to the list and killed two spider climbing on me.

I hate spiders! But it was relaxing!

Tonight one of my orloff chicks was making a funny chirp noise. I kept an eye on it to discover it only made the noise when trying to poop. Checking it over it had a poopy bottom that was hidden under it's tail. Cleaned it off and checked everyone, One other had the same problem. I'm glad I paid attention to her funny chirp.
