Mom - the Polish are adorable can't wait!
muttsfan - so glad you actually heard and found Timmy
Nova - your sister is in my prayers

I tried the penny in the water. Not sure what to think. There are now no flies in the coop except for one that perches on the bag.

So I guess one fly over hundreds works.

Catching up after a busy weekend and I have pictures thanks to the hundreds my son has taken this weekend.

All weekend we have had a noisy b-17 buzzing over the house.
Not the normal but interesting to see and hear. It was visiting for the weekend, doing tours and taking people on flights at $450 for 35 minutes and a view of the straits. My son got the tour.
It makes me happy when he is interested in things involving history.

Does anyone have interest in Sebrights, WCB Polish Rooster or a Handsome Sizzle rooster?

And last but not least my son took about 20 pictures of his Basque from muttsfan. He had me tell him a list of couples names and decided they are Fred and Ginger.

That is awesome! Was it the Yankee Air Force plane? I've seen their B-17 and B-24 flying out of Willow Run a few times, but I've never got to fly in one. I am so jealous.

Oh, what a funny story! But stuck back there for a few days!? Poor girl. Glad you got her out and she was able to kick some pushy butt!

A few weeks ago I asked about the manna pro water protector... Asked if any one else uses this product. No one answered that they did, so I am going to give my review right here, right now.

I got it because I was interested in keeping the slime down in the water. I have to honestly admit, I don't change the water-ers daily. I refill as needed. The last few days, it has been a near daily thing obviously with the upper 80s to low 90s heat. The yesmeaties have 2 separate watering holes. The other 36 birds have four spread out between the front and the back, and a 2 gallon rubber bowl that they can step in and cool off if they need. Mostly they just drink out of it. AND with warmer weather comes the green algae. This stuff is supposed to keep the water fresher longer. Also supposed to provide some good enzymes... yada yada yada...

As for the slimey part... eh... its ok for that. Takes longer in between fillings before I have to get a cloth and actually wipe everything down. As long as they don't get dirt kicked in them, that is. As for the algae growth, that is cut down considerably. I only have the one water-er that seems to actually have it growing in there, but it also is the only one that sits in the sun for any period of time. SO, that part I am happy with, as the algae growth does cause pitting in the plastic...

As for the price... $15 a bottle... I have decide that is too much for this product... It treats 33 gallons... SO, I guess $.50 a gallon isn't bad, but... Yes there is a but... Braggs is only about $4-5 a bottle, and at 2 tbsp per gallon, with the added benefit of calcium absorbition being improved, digestive system, respitory system... Well, I think I will just go with ACV since it is supposed to do all that the water protector is supposed... Only better and cheaper. Hell, could even use Heinz Natural ACV if you want to be cheap, but Braggs has the Mother still...

Well, there is my review...

I can't complain about this on FB so I will do it here...

I grew up with this girl Steph and we are total opposites. I did not meet her older sister Jamey until I was 18, but you would not believe how much we have in common.

Anyway, Steph has just graduated as a dental assistant and is demanding that her mother throw her a party...
Their mother recently had a stroke that she had to recover from and has since had high blood pressure and black outs. Did I mention she is diabetic as well?
So Steph wants to have 100+ people in her mother house and have a BBQ...
Because their mother is unable to do all this work by herself (let alone afford this shindig) Jamey has volunteered to help make this celebration happen.

Their mother offered to Steph to take a girls trip to the casino and make a night of it... Steph said it wouldn't be special enough...
Now, Jamey, who can not afford the party either, must figure out a way to feed 100+ people.

I told Jamey to sit her sister down and say "Look, bwitch, you graduated and we are all proud of you, but you are an adult now and if you want a party for yourself... figure out how to make it happen!"
Jamey, already, goes to her mothers house every week to take out the garbage, garden, and anyother task her mother cannot do because Steph is "unable" to do any of these chores.

Oh and dear mom just bought Steph a new iPhone...
I am ashamed and embarassed to be the same age as this girl. I may have accomplished less school wise but I got this girl beat on manners. (Well, maybe not after slandering her)

Oh... I wish I had another coop now... Fred and Ginger are awesome! I might have went with Ethel instead though. LOL.

Ok... I have 10 hens/pullets laying right now... I had 6 nest boxes. I say 6, because I had to make a new one on the fly since Fia has decided that the counter in the garage would be an ideal place... AND if that isn't all... I still have not cleaned and taken apart the little garage pen I had for the pekins... SO, some one felt that would be the ideal place to lay their egg... Some one else decided that digging a hole under the big coop, would be an ever better spot! Well, atleast they are laying them in places that are easy to find. I am very seriously tempted to go to Meijer, get some of those IN/OUT stackables and make a 3 story nesting box out of those... Just so they are all in the same place, and MAYBE just MAYBE they'd happy with those.... SO, now I have 3 nest boxes in the big coop, one in the littles coop, one in the silkies coop, (AND YES, 1 hen that does not reside in the silkies coop thinks its her ideal place to lay her egg), and now 2 in the garage. Of those 7 nesting boxes... 3 get used regulary... The silkie coop, only one in the big coop, and the one in the littles coop.... TODAY had to be the odd ball lay them where ever the hell we want day.

Oh the joy of children who are legal adults acting like spoiled entitled back side holes.

I gotta go take my mom to have her feet played with. I mean the podiatrist.

LOL.. it's not that bad, just stings a bit. Mine was at the front of my neck between my collar bones. Just decided after a year to reject it.
Yeah... ouch. Did you get an infection? They look cool... but you are not supposed to touch them. What? I am a picker... I would be touching it all the time..

Good to know!

Umm no idea what that means. Maybe these will help. I know nothing. I can say it was cool to see and hear going low over the house. We are directly between Pellston and the airport and the Mackinaw bridge so it went over several times Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Nova - what is the water protector supposed to do? I seem to have some green stuff growing where it can't easily be washed off in the cracks of my waterer. I tried to convince my son Luci and Desi because he watches it with me but no!
