Brethren'
that is sad. Sorry for the loss. Reminds me of my special little Uggo that began this craze.

for hens for you...

Juise - Looked just like the pictures of stuff leaking out, only ours was still in the caterpillar stage and hadn't changed. My son says he has seen those flies around so I'm sure that was it. Thanks - hadn't heard of those nastys yet.

Morning very gladly the frost missed us and it looks like a nice day!

very nice post on the caterpillars, really cool pic.s
He is diabetic, and has had MRSA- and his doctor did not give him any antibiotics on Monday. He even asked for them, and the doc said "oh you wont need them". Well, yesterday, he was limping even worse so I told him to let me see his foot. WHen he took off his shoe and sock, his foot looked like an elephants, even all his toes were swelled up huge. And his ankle. And his foot was red. I told him we have to go to the ER before you lose your foot.
One of the nurses thought he broke something because of the swelling. When they xrayed it, no breaks but there is quite a bit of debris in there next to the bone. Probably part of his sock and shoe sole and paint from the nail. And it is swelled from infection. They want to keep him on IV antibiotics.
I am going to head up there in a little bit and see him and take him a change of clothes.

Looks like it may rain out there. We could use some rain..but not just a humidity-increasing drizzle.
hope your DH is doing better today,,, some Dr. need to go back to school or get out of the practice.......like every profession there are those that are in it for the money and those that are really dedicated to their job

Mom 2 em all- sorry about dh's foot. I hope the infection is under control soon! Are they going to remove the debris?

I tried catching up on all the posts late last night.... Holy cow.... Wires were hopping yesterday!

Raz- interesting info on the meeting for the ordinance. Glad you spoke out. Hope those in your area are able to have chickens soon. How many places still do not allow chickens? A friend of mine said that there is stil a ban in her city. She said she knows of several neighbors who would like to have them. Anyone know if there is a place to find the cities that allow chickens along with how the ordinance is written up?

Just to share a laugh. I have our chlldren between 3 & 8. One is a son, who is entertaining to say the least. Friends and family ask for reports of his " adventures". While I can't pin this current episode on him... It innocently whispers his name. My hair straightening iron has a 1 to 40 heat adjustment. I usually have it on an 8. It has remained on an 8 for the several years I have had it. I leaned a new lesson...always check the dial. I went the straighten my bangs yesterday and immediately scorched the top of my head...still not catching on... I proceeded to try and straighten a 3 inch wide section of hair....the iron seemed sticky for some reason...finally smelled the burning hair. As I set the iron down I realized I had melted the bottom 3 inches of bangs...which promptly broke off and fell into the sink. The dial had gotten turned all the way up...and was so hot the coating actually melted off. So, you will be able to spot me at cs because I will be the one with stubble on the left side of my head;)

I just couldnt understand why NOT, given that he is diabetic and has had MRSA outbreaks..and SO fast his foot ballooned, it means the doc just didnt even pay attention in the room.

I dont think they are- they want to avoid creating a larger wound to have to heal in his foot. I havent talked to a doctor yet, will see what they say today.

Glambka did a beautiful job of transforming this eggs.
These are beautiful. My oldest had a lady comes to his classroom this past year and show them how to make these wonderful eggs.
Wanted to share a few pics of Kaia climbing a tree with the chickies.

Love it! My kids LOVE to climb trees.

<--- "It was THIS big!"
My husband is in the hospital. Saturday he stepped on a nail when he was up in the Thumb area. The nail went through his shoe, sock and into his foot- the head of the nail end.

He is diabetic, and has had MRSA- and his doctor did not give him any antibiotics on Monday. He even asked for them, and the doc said "oh you wont need them". Oh, no... You said bad things were coming. The doctor should have known better, esp with him being diabetic...

And Juise is right... it is funnier when it is happening to someone else

errrrrrrrrrr..........computer...web thing issues..

As I was saying... Mom, hope DH's foot heals up with no complications... heck even I know diabetics and foot injuries are something that needs to be taken very seriously! Hope you send the Dr your hospital bill since his poor practice is what created it.

Good luck fishing today Opa! Wish I could be going with you.... I love fishing!

I've been going after work to my parents, to work on tiling their shower for a few hours. It's coming together slowly. They did small subway tile with a running pattern, so it takes a little more time to lay. Yesterday I put in the two corner shelves. I hope tonight I can finish the back wall. May have to take tomorrow off work to get some of my own stuff done I'm getting so far behind.

Hope everyone has a great day today.

M2M- That was awful irresponsible of that Dr. I also am diabetic and so I know what it means. I guard my feet very carefully because I always have a great fear of losing one. Hope he gets better fast but as we all know, as a diabetic it never happens fast. Best wishes for him.
