With your hatching history there is a possibility of your getting black skinned birds that have frizzled blue feathers but we shouldn't have to tell you that roosters don't lay eggs of any color.
I ran into Crabby's mom yesterday at Meijers and said hello. She was polite and I offered her some eggs if she was interested. She puffed up and told me that she doesn't want rooster eggs.

OMG! My budgies projectile crapped! Not kidding. They could hit a wall a few feet away from their cage! I have this huge cage that I used to hang from a hook in the ceiling, right at shoulder level. The wall was nearly 2 feet away, about 18 inches... and they shat all over the wall! I swear... they'd watch me clean it up... wait a few days and SLAT it was there again!

Baby sitting the birds for Chickenstock has made for a long day. They went in the smoker at 7am and with the temperature of the oven at 200 degrees it takes a long long time to get the birds internal temperature up to 160. I could raise the temperature and get them done much quicker but I'm convinced that the slow cooking is a primary reason for the birds being so moist and tender. Probably will take a couple of more hours but I won't rush it.

Being up til midnight is any big deal, I remember being up all night because of chicks...............Wait a minute, that for a different kind.

Seriously, I think I have figured out that with Uggos..they are like snails. And amoebas
I'm beginning to think that uggos are some sort of strange Michigan Chicken Fancier hazing ritual.

Not asking for much are ya? LOL!
not at all, lol.
With all due respect, I'm going to disagree.
I've raised Amazon parrots, Cockatoos, cockatiels and budgies. The bigger birds liked to share the shower with me or my GF. The smaller birds loved a spray from a squirt bottle. Dust was hardly an issue.

On the other hand, the chickens I have are the dustiest things I have ever seen.

My cockatoo was dustier than chickens!! Even with regular showers, she was always leaving powder everywhere. Dino is dusty, but not as much as the cockatoo. Little ones like the cockatiels, not so much.
I want one!
and when they hatch, I am sure there will be plenty to go around!

You should have put some Uggos in the smoker.
After mid-night they start to get pretty.
By 2:00 am, they are down right beautiful.

All right... I swear, if its not one thing, its another. I just went to get milk from the gas station 1/2 mile away... ran something over, and now I have a dang hole in my tread. Fix a flat did not work. I put it in, and filled it with air, then hauled booty home... Made it home... air is still coming out... SO, gonna have to plug it. If I can't plug it... going to have to buy a new dang tire. If I have to buy a new tire... I will not be meeting no one saturday. NOT COOL! And where is my spare? Oh... in a shed locked up... Where John got evicted from. GREAT!!!!!!
