NOVA is killing chickens or having them eaten by something and has a sicker sister!!

RAZ is surrounded by the crazies, I'm crazier than most if you need a hand with them

DARON and his family are loosing someone they haven't met yet (I hope the docs are wrong, they were wrong about my little one 16 years ago and she's still going strong!)

AND OPA is Sam Elliot?!?!?! Who knew??

All of my birds I got from you all are doing GREAT! That little roo I got with the uggos has nepolian syndrome!! He's a tough little guy, he cracks me up!!!
I hope you all made through the heat and didn't turn to dust and blow away!!
Here's to cooler days ahead, not much cooler... but better than 102!

Tonight the wind picked up a little and we have a nice breeze. Quite nice out and what a break for the chickens. I left their windows on the coop wide open!

Sent 8 boys down to Cheboygan today for processing, I can't believe how much quieter it is around here!
Can I tell the fruit loop to move up by you?? lol

Well I wish we had some of your weather. Been trying to get the boat out on the Sound for weeks now, and every time it starts to look good it gets bad. UGH! Money pit boat

Tomorrow will not be a fun day. My son's two guinea pigs are aging and both now have problems and are at the point to be put to sleep. He has had them since he was 6 so it's a huge deal. I'm just upset it will cost more to euthanize them than it did to buy them, but I don't think he could handle dad taking care of them. He is all teary about the thought of them being gone and then pops up "does that mean Yeti and Snowball (the mostly blind silkies) can live in my room now?" Kid!!

My hawk attacked girl seems ok. She was very quiet and stayed by herself but I figure it's just her healing. Everything was scabbed up nicely this morning. I'm finally down to only 2 broodies. I'm trying to get everything cleaned and ready to go camping next week.

Oh boy, I know how it is. My daughter has lost pets before (raising rabbits) but she has a very special rabbit named IceCream and I dread the day she dies or has to be put down. (because I refuse to take a rabbit to the vet to be euthanized when I have a perfectly good gun that is just as effective) She has a cavy guinea pig as well and thankfully she's only about 7 months old. Good luck with everything, it's never easy to lose a pet I do think he's got the right idea of some house chickens though lol

So I fell asleep for a couple hours and had the craziest dream...I don't remember it all but I do remember that somehow I had bought 4 cows and I couldn't figure out which chicken coop they could live in...then I decided to put them in my old goat area. I (in real life) plant my vining veggies in there every year so that I'm not tempted to put anything live in it. I had the cows in there and was trying to transplant huge pumpkin and watermelon plants lol. I know there was more to the dream but that's all I can remember....trying to work around 4 full grown cows and dragging around plants with veggies hanging off them

Am I wrong in thinking my mom has dementia? I am in the boys room cleaning, and i kept throwing the dirty clothes I am unearthing into the hall by the bathroom so they can go down the laundry shoot. What does she do? She picks up the pile I am amassing and brings them back into the boys room and dumps them cuz she didn't know why they were in the hall way but they were in the way.... WTH? The other day she asked me how long to boil eggs. Today she's cooking hamburger, and she just kept cooking it and cooking to the point where there was no more grease and the meat was drying out. I asked her to keep an eye on it a second cuz the birds were having a royal fit outside over something. Stray cat was back... didn't get it, but scared it off... well anyway, I came back in and she's still cooking the meat, and now its ruined, but she didn't know... There are other wacky things like that, and its getting worse, and her doc thinks I am exaggerating... Now I just yelled at her for being an idiot cuz I swear to God she's driving me nuts with this stupid idiot stuff!
