We're tearing down a barn tomorrow so we'll have wood for another one. Don't know where he's going to build it since he doesn't (and can't by himself) move the current one!

Unless your DH still plans to bring us stuff for the one he wanted?

I'd take it off your hands if A) I had the extra money right now and B) I hadn't sold my truck a month ago. But, I didn't need it before I sold my truck

That reminds me... I've been wondering who picked the faverolle chicks I had put in the drawing. Anyone know? They were from the eggs Silly Chicken gave me, hatched by the Java that Eeyore now has, lol.

I couldn't believe someone else didn't pick them but I sure am glad. Are they LF or bantams ??

I got to see Jen today...and she and 2 others had the fun of trying to draw blood...out of a port no less! I always have to make things difficult when it comes to things like that lol. At least Jen didn't have to actually draw blood out of a vein, then she really would have been frustrated! lol

Keyt -- Maybe you're running into a limit in the market and/or a slow season? It makes sense that your sales would be slowing down as chick sales tend to slow down after the spring / early summer rush. I'm thinking there's also probably only so many people each year, within driving distance, with the means to haul something that large who would want/need a chicken coop. That's one of the limits of an non-consumable products on a small/local scale... repeat buyers are severely limited and each sale basically leads to the depletion of your market. One out of old barn wood would be very cool though, can't wait to see pics of what he comes up with.

Oh we know. The last two years we've sold them well into October though. We have even offered discounts for trades of stuff but still no one is biting. Who knows. I know him though he'll be building something out of that barn wood. He's talked for 2 years about building outhouses! They do sell on craigslist and Facebook!
