Hi Sam,

You should be proud of your son, what a wonderful man!! Wow, 50 acres, it sounds wonderful!!

I too, am thankful we have no hurricanes in Michigan!! Of course, I am not overly fond of snow anymore, but hey, it is a trade off!

The good news, fall is here, my absolute favorite time of the year!! If only it could last all year!!

Opa,
You sure did raise a good son, and it is nice that his company was thankful and helpful. Hopefully the damage is minimal down there. My wife and I are heading down to New Orleans later this month so this is the most I have followed a hurricane ever. Just glad for all those down there that it seems to be a lot less than forcasted.

Hey southeast MI friends. Does any one want a non flogging rooster? Doodle is a beautiful PR roo. He has never been aggressive to me or my grandkids. My neighbor has complained so I have to get rid of my two roos, or else get rid of all my hens also. Also have a EE roo, he's aggressive, but has protected his hens against a hawk.

Hi Michigan neighbors!

I am looking for some coturnix quail to keep my lone female company this winter- I only have one. Anyone near me have any they would like to sell? I am in Taylor- Southeast Michigan.
I could post in the other section, but I thought I would try here first.

Thanks!

Hey mom 2em all the silkies and showgirls are doing just great! The turken roo and his girl really do follow each other around. The black girl she is so sweet she actually flys up to say hi and lets us pet her. It was scarry the first time though;). Thanks for the cutie pies!

Hello, fellow Michiganders! Anyone have a NN pullet they'd like to sell? I always thought they were...um...funny looking, but I'm now growing rather fond of them and would like a lone specimen for my egg laying flock. Thanks!

Posted it on the sale part, but I am selling less than week old chicks, cochin crosses or sex link roos. Cochins are barred cochin roo crossed with either barred rock or isa browns. $3 a piece or trade. Would love to trade some chicks for older chicks or hens/roos to replace the ones I lost. Lets make a deal.

Also going to sell a trio of faverolles, roo is 9 weeks old and pullets are 6 weeks old, $45, or deal/trade.

I think fall is officially here! It is sweatshirt weather in the morning and evening now.

The kids aren't happy about having to wear extra clothes and wear the shoes again.

Our grass is green again too from all the rain we got. I didn't have to water the garden either:)

I am procrasting on processing some more tomatoes. We have soooo many. It was an excellent year for tomatoes.

talking about the weather, I live in southeast mi
what things are you doing for your chicklens or will do for them to prepare for the fall and winter weather this is my first time with chicks they are now 12 weeks old now. It has been much easier to raise them than I thought
But yes, sweatshirts have been the thing for me in the morning. But fall is my time of the year and I already have made 14 zucchini breads, canned 45 quarts of tomatoes, and 14 pints of salsa. The chickens are feasting on dropping pears from the neighbors and well done tomatos
thanks
