Wow did I feel silly this morning!

I was sitting at the computer reading messages and drinking coffee when I heard a noise. BF was out getting the mail and when he came in I told him the turkeys were making a different noise a minute ago. As I was telling him this we heard it again. He laughed and said that's not the turkeys it's the geese in the barn!! LOL

Today is decision day. Time to figure out which ducks are going to BF's uncle tomorrow and which chickens I'm putting up for free because they are old. I can't wait to have more room around here!

Too funny! They can get too honkin lol, How are they getting on with each other?
If there is a problem with neighbors and geese just let me know. I can take them back if it doesnt work out.
P.S. How is your little turkey?

Mr. F is out an about. he's mostly just sitting around though. His head is up, and if I get close to him, he high tails it away from me. I take that as a good thing. I am going to catch him off the roost tonight, drench him again. Also see if I can't get him to eat some scambled eggs... I had to buy yucky eggs. Neighbor didn't have any to spare this week. We have a shared customer who buys from us both, and she wipes us both out. It is my understanding that I have to toss the eggs after treating with ivermectin... the one for horses that is. Is this true? I have read that some people don't, and some people don't even toss eggs when treating with other things for worms... I decided to worm the whole darn flock since I couldn't figure out what was wrong with Belle, what could have killed her aside from the fall. Well anyway, I had to buy from the store today. LOL. Can I feed him back the eggs that are from my hens? Or do you think that would irritate him more? UGH! Poor guy is going to go into the hospital wing tonight... Skatter has taken her baby to the big coop, so it is open if she doesn't return to it, and he can go in there.

See RaZ, you can tell them people who don't think chickens are pets, that they most certainly are. Why else would I go to such trouble over a dang bird. OH, thats right, cuz he fought off a Juvie coon to protect the flock. He's the man!

Nova, the vet at Mich. State Univ said if you want to get rid of your eggs after you worm with Ivermectin then send the eggs to him because he has no problem eating them.

I used the one one that starts with a v.... zimecterin gold it think it was... but the main ingredient is ivermectin. SO! Would that be the same thing then? I've got 2 dozen eggs already just sitting there, cuz I was not sure...

Snowflake! I need help...
Hi, sorry been gone most of the day, just got back

So about a week ago, I caught my son holding Bob the Blue Beta in the bathroom. Yes, he was holding the fish! I told him not to do it again because the fish need to be in the water to survive... yadda yadda yadda. Then 3 days ago, I went to the bathroom and looked for Bob... Not in his bowl! I had heard my son using the bathroom 10 minutes earlier!
"Son, where is Bob?"
"Maybe he went swimming somewhere!"
"What did you do with Bob? Did you put him down the toilet?"
"No, he just went swimming."
I found Bob next to his bowl and I thought he was dead... then I went to pick him up and he jumped!!!
I picked him up and put him back in his bowl.
The fish is STILL ALIVE!!! He had to have been out of his bowl for quite a while!
Well, I am talking about the fish that dove into the toilet while I was cleaning his bowl.
I think Bob has watched Finding Nemo one too many times!

CG is right Ivermectin is used on humans(or at least the main ingredient) so it is safe to eat eggs. Cocci is very confusing to me 1/2 of the poo checks I have done showed cocci, and vet said to treat, never have I seen blood in their poo,

coarid can be used for cocci and there is no egg toss with that either.......I would suspect internal injury also, and antibiotic may help He doesnt lay eggs so no withdraw

not sure about the gold, I have Iver-on for goats...might check with Dawg he is pretty good with the different meds. he is often on the emergency forum....some one here with horses may know also

Talk about crazy.... DH had a job interview Thursday, I guess it went so well, Friday called and said they want him to fly to Germany for yet another interview, with the co president... all expences paid. I'm excited for him, though I don't envy the round the world trip in 3 days. The new job he just got... just isn't a good fit for him.

I can't read posts much these days, I feel like I get on, brag then leave LOL! I miss you guys!

They have been pretty good as far as the honkin goes. Yesterday when I was going to tell the neighbor about the geese, I said "Guess what I got!!" He said "Oh no now what??" I told him before i tell you I want you to know I'm re-homing some ducks so the noise will equal out lol. He loved them! He said the noise doesn't bother him because he can't hear it from inside his house.

They get along GREAT with each other!! I have no doubt the disabled one is a female. She always has to be near the male at all times.

Earlier today I had them in the play area again. Twice he got startled and jumped out. After the 2nd time since we were sitting out there I left him out to see what he would do. He paced back and forth, checking out the big ducks, the pigs and the little ducks. Well, I cleaned out the little pool and I was adding new water and suddenly he went crazy trying to get in there. He reminded me of a baby in a crib, shaking the railing trying to get out. He was shaking the door trying to get in that pool!

So I let the other two out since Aric was out there with me in case things went crazy. He then got out an old pool that the ducks didn't like and that was like I gave them a new toy to play with!!

So things here are great! I'm pretty sure the disabled one is a female the way she acts around him!
