Well my son is being moved to a rehab unit....they think he has stress fractures to his shins and as soon as he calls I will tell him to get me that boys address and I will email it all to you guys. Then I will ask him to find more like that.
Hey What if while your son get better he tries to think of any other guys & girls who could use a friendly, and some times goofy letter from a bunch of cackling hens. That is one thing us moms are really good at.
As soon as he calls I will get the address. But....like someone mentioned about private addresses on a public forum I will email anyone who posts in this thread the address. Im so excited. This is something I can do to help my troops! I can't afford care packages.
Well Corey opted to come home for 30 days. The boys name is Walker. He is going to mail Corey something and then we will have his address. Corey thinks it is cool that you all want to write him.

Isnt God AMAZING, he places those needs on our hearts? SIMPLY amazing to me...........I would love to email him. My baby....Kenny goes to basic in sept..........and I know I would love to know others are praying and writing him.........
Make sure we have his address and we will help out too. Where is Kenny going? My SIL baby brother Joe joins the Marines sometime this month. We really need a stickied thread where we can post all these wonderful soldiers names and we can pray for them!
One of my bf son is being put on the Navy boat to Guam soon . It's nice to meet people who have so much in common. It will be comforting to have friends out there who will listen.
Cheri I would love to have his address. I know its hard on the guys over there. Mail is so important to them. If anyone is looking to adot a soldier they can go to www.mysoldier.com It is an orangization helping servicemen They will give you the name and email address of a soldier overseas. We have a marine we adopted before our son went over and I know he appreciates all the mail.Packages are special too You can go to your PO and get a flat rate prioity mail box and fill it It only cost 8.95 to send it. A bag of homemade cookies or little treats mean so much. My son is located on a large base so he has access to a PX but most of the men do not. They can only get soap and personal items. One of the things our marine asked for was toliet paper. I use it as packing in the box. Starting up a site for the guys we know is a great idea. My son has guys in his unit who don't have much family as well. BTW my son is doing fine we haven't heard from him in a week but he was able to email his Dad for Fathers Day. Made it very special as they were able to talk back and forth for awhile.
