micro duck eggs

Hi Duck friends,
Hopefully this doesn't post twice. Anyone else have this phenomenon of micro duck eggs (about the size of a quail egg) from full size ducks? I thought it was from the young ones just starting out, but we have now had about 6 of them and all the ducks are laying (or molting). Love to hear any insights. They are free range, get multi flock, full size ducks (Khaki, Cayuga, Rouen, Silver appleyard, etc.)

My ducks will lay a small egg once in a while. It could be from molting because they usually don't even lay when in molt.

some people call them "fairy eggs" and we get them here occasionally as well. My ducks layed a few during july 4th week from stress of fireworks I believe.

I also was getting some micro size eggs. I assumed that my 5 ‘month old ducklings were starting to lay, but it was also right after all the ducks went through a molt.

When I report the number of eggs I got for the day I will just label them as half an egg. I have had one so far.
