Mid January Hatch thread....

Ok people! Thoughts please! I have 15 in the hatcher! 5 or 6 were rocking and wiggling! I now see nothing! Soooo..... I candled (very quickly) and all are moving inside the egg! Day 21 starts at midnight! Not a single one has pipped! They all still look very veiny! Is that normal this late in the cycle? Shouldn't the veins be gone by now?

P.S. - my temps have been perfectly stable for the whole cycle at 99.5 and my humidity was awesome throughout days 1 - 18 at 35% - 45%, hatcher temps same and humidity is kinda stuck at 63%
I'm really too new at this to give much advice, but the egg that pipped at the wrong end for me as I peeled back some of the membrane I saw red veins so I put it back in the bator and am leaving alone. I read somewhere that it means they aren't done absorbing the yolk sack.

I'm so excited all 4 of my silkie eggs have hatched and I'm just waiting on my two turken eggs which should hatch in a few days. This is the silkie cross crew.

Very Cute!! Something is just a little wrong with chicks starting life off in a pot....lol!!

My hubby still hasn't gotten their coop built so they live in the shop and when they started laying I had this pot and another big on shelf and they just started laying in it.

Thanks... that is what I thought but I had put a reminder in my phone( in the beginning) that said today was the lockdown date...I thought maybe I had missed counted then but wanted to make sure. I didn't want any to hatch with the turner still going.

Glad your little ones waited on you & you got to see one hatch. I hope mine hatch on the weekend so I can see it. That was my plan but I don't think the eggs know that!!

My original hatch date was tomorrow 01/18 but the incubator got unplugged for a few hours last week so now I have no idea when. I candled last Friday and there was still movement in some of the eggs so I am waiting till at least the weekend before I do anything.
