Mid march hatch a long

It has been over 3 hrs and temps are still low 96.This is the temperature from the egg o meter. Humidity is at 66% I turned up the temperature Now I have to watch it because I don't want to cook the chicks. Do you think it has been too low for too long? The temp of the incubator is between 98 and 101 on different thermometers. Pearl

I don't think you have to worry too much, at this stage they should be able to handle the lower temp but you should get it up. I could be wrong though maybe an "expert" would like to chime in here.........

I put mine in lock down last night, now to wait the next few days out. I thought that I heard chirping from the eggs last night, may just have been wishful thinking on my part though !

HaHaHa....I want to hear cheeping too! So far, I think it's all in my head! Mine are supposed to hatch tomorrow...and 6 that are under a silkie are due today!

Well, I have quite a time getting the temps up. This is on the egg-o-meter. The thermometer at the top of the eggs is OK. I think it will be OK. I don't hear anything or see any movement. Humidity is 67%. I am constantly checking. When should I hear chirping or see rocking? I will keep everyone posted ( posting keeps these fingers busy ).

I have hatched several and never had one rock. I have also only had a handful of eggs cheep loud enough to really get my attention. Alot of time I miss the hatching and then realized there is a chick in there when i check on them.

so far the broodie silkie has one red chick....and my bator had an early hatcher...one black silkie.More have pips
