Mid march hatch a long

Finally!!!!! Lockdown!!!!! They are black copper marans so I got no idea where is air cell or if they have a chick inside. Did the sniff test and they smell ok. i'm working dry incubation. 30-40 humidity in the first 18 days and 60-70 at lockdown. Im hoping to see babys soon and best if they are females.

lock down is tonight for me!! so excited i have 38 eggs in my LG. I've candled and everything looks good. can't wait for saturday to get here!!!!

quick question though....when i put them on lock down and raise the humidity i still want to regulate the temp at 99.5?

Anything yet?
I have 2 under the silkie...but still just one in the incubator!Tomorrow is day 21 for them...

it made the crack longer, but no pip, don't hear anything, I hope it didn't tire itself out and die.

Some say to drop it down to 98.5 for hatching but myself I have left the temp the same. I am going to try dropping it down on this hatch I think.

OK! I have 13 eggs and I did not candle. Lock down was Monday evening. Eggs were set on a Wen evening. This woke up this morning to 6 chicks and 2 have pips and 5 with nothing. The chicks look so good 2 are running around and the others are still wet and not too active. Before I went to bed I watch the first one hatch. I was having problems getting the heat back up so I put another thermometer and thought I cracked an egg when I did . I just watched and saw a beak. I wanted to stay up and watch the eggs hatch but going to bed insured I would leave things alone. . Since they hatched a day early I ran my incubator too warm. My humidity 1-18 in the 30's and lock down 60-70's and I had to adjust the temps up because the eggs were lower when I took out the turner. I am going to take off the fan and use this LG for a hatcher. Everyone keep me informed on how you are doing.
