Try to get your coop built before you get chicks...those little things grow incredibly fast and you don't want to have to scramble at the last minute

Hi!Welcome to BYC from a fellow Washingtonian. A word of caution, raising chickens is an addiction. So, when building your coop and run, plan one big enough for twice the amount of chickens you want, and then build it a little bigger than that.
Read up on coops and runs in the forum for that subject; just go to forums and pan down the page and you'll see it. Make sure it is predator proof because there is just nothing worse than coming out to find one of your precious girls has been attacked. There are a lot of very experienced people here ready to help you along the way. Don't hesitate to ask questions!
