I have a 3 year old easter egger that is acting normal, no limping, no pain. I noticed her middle toenail was sticking straight out and not touching the ground. it does not appear swollen, no bumblefoot or obivious injury to the foot.

I pressed on the bottom of each toe and they curled around my finger except for that middle toe. the joints seem loose when i physically bent it. the toe did not respond to the stimuli when pressed. a couple of her scales are raised on that toe.
she a little overweight.

does anyone know what is causing this? or had experience with this?

Do you have photos?

Possible at some point in her life she broke the toe and it's just stiff, but it would be nice to see it.
