I currently have some eggs that are due to hatch tomorrow hopefully

Did have a small issue with the hatcher for about 2 hours, but got it resolved.
I have one MW hen and one Blue Slate hen and they are both laying currently. I'm in Putnam, CT if your interested in eggs pm me. Jenn

mamawolf544 had a listing for some a few weeks ago, you might contact her and see if she still has any available

Thanks everyone...I'm back to square one I think. I really wanted poults, but I can't find any local to me, and I can't find a anywhere that will ship just a few. I thought going with someone else to hatch them for me would work, but something about the whole thing just doesn't feel right. So I'm left with either buying my own incubator, and eggs, or hatching my own. The eggs that are sort of local to me, are from hatchery stock, so I feel like they are kind of over priced at $40 per dozen. At this point I am thinking I would take almost any turkey and just process them early when they get to the size I want...

Yeah, I may have to go with them...I did connect with one person on here that is sort of close to me, and is waiting on a hatch of MW though...otherwise, I think I'll go with Cackle...just have no idea what to get.

If you were trying to balance flavor and size (smaller better) which poults would you get? Royal Palms are small, but are not good for eating really right? What about the Slates or the Bourbon reds? Naragansset?

Thanks!

RPs are fine for eating, but the shape of their breast bones makes them not have as much breast meat as other turkeys. Cackle doesn't have MW, though Ideal does (I think). McMurray has them as well. Maybe you can find someone to go in on an order with you? Or you can order the minimum yourself and sell the extras? Just a thought

Bourbon Reds are huge! I think the naragansetts are too. I'm not sure how big the blue slates get, I guess I'll figure it out in a few months (have 3 blue slate babies in a brooder
