I just got 3 midget white poults for my birthday this coming month. This is my first time ever owning turkeys and I was wondering if there is anything specific that I need to do for them, that would be different than chicks? I use a flock raiser for my adult birds because I have a combination of chickens and ducks, and my babies get a food made for all breeds of fowl so it has a high protein percentage because I am always raising quail, ducks or chickens.
I was wondering if there is also a way to tell what sex they are at this stage without vent sexing? Any tricks to get them to grow properly and thrive? What should I expect from the adult birds? They wouldn't become dinner because almost everything in my flock is considered a pet.
I'm just completely a newbie when it comes to turkeys, so any information on what to expect or how to take care of them would be appreciated! I will post pictures shortly of my little guys/gals...they are so friendly and tame

Make sure your feed is 28-30% protien for about the first 12 weeks if you want them to thrive. 20% is good after that and the flockraiser is good feed but it is very low in Ca so egg production will be a bit lower with softer, thinner shells.

The feed that I have is right at 28%, so that is good protein then, thank you

Is the Ca calcium? I'm not very good at the abbreviations.

Thank you for your help!

Yes, Ca is calcium. Flock raiser is not good for good egg production if thats what you are wanting. If you want to feed it, that will be fine just make sure you have a free choice Ca, like ostyer shell, or something like that for them to get what their body needs.
