Midnight Majesty vs. Black Sex Link?

Hello!

I was SO sure this little pullet is our Midnight Majesty Maran but, ALL of the ones I see on this site DON'T have copper on them at all....and most have feathered legs!

I know they're a hybrid mix, so feathered legs isn't a must lol it was brought to my attention she may be a sex link? It truly does NOT matter as she is so full of personality and love lol just like to learn about the breeds we have haha

She could be a midnight majesty. They are hybrids so may not have the leg feathering. I believe they are from a bcm rooster x cuckoo marans hen, so a female would be solid and might have some copper leakage and a male would be barred. The true test would be egg color..darker brown. I don't think they will be any darker than a cuckoo marans egg though.

Barred rock is a good example of barred.
Cuckoo looks similar but the barring is, well cuckoo.
Here is a pic of one of my cuckoos and another of her "sexlinked" daughter by a blue easter egger. She is the darker hen in front. (The rooster is her father)
She is an olive egger.
(A male would have inherited the baring from the mother, but a female can only be barred if the father is barred. )This is very simplified. Haha. I have only Very, very basic knowledge when it comes to chicken genes.
