Mike the new guy

Hey guys my name is Mike, from Texas. Everyone in the family raised chickens when I was a kid, but we haven't had any in probably 15 years so I went and got a couple of chicks earlier this fall. Very excited about bringing them back into the family.
I have a barred rock named Dommie and an australorp named Ozzie. Pretty sure Ozzie is a roo. Can't tell by looking yet but he sure acts like one. Anyway if you guys wanna see'em ill post pics

LOL...yes they look pretty rough at this age. Normal. How many weeks old is this bird?

Ozzie is around 6 or 7 weeks. Dommie a week younger

The first bird is a pullet and I believe the second bird is a pullet as well. My Black Australorps had combs this size at 7 weeks of age. BA cockerels usually grow in combs fast. And many times would have a comb that is red already. You can't judge attitude at this age as they are both going to be sparring for flock leader at this age.

I think she is a pullet. I think she may be a mix of something as BA's don't have any other color but black.
