Well, There's not much that can be done about MILs. I would say more about mine but she is all knowing and would find out.

I was very lucky and had a wonderful one....she has gone on to her reward in Heaven...she raised a wonderful Husband for me and I told her so...When ever Honey and I got into a fuss and he went to her she would look at him and say this is between you and Jane not me and not say another word......I loved that woman.....

I never got to meet my MIL. she passed a year after We married.. SHe lived in FLA and hubby moved to NY then met me. but I can say If i barrow something from somene I"m gonna do my dang best to clean it before I return a Incubator that I blew up eggs or anything else stinky in... that is wrong.. DId she even make an attempt to clean it?

I hope you get it clean, and I agree about the Sun method. that or soak in baking soda a few days.. I know They work with Crochet and Knitting yarn that smells like Cigarette smoke

She did attempt to clean it with bleach but it was quite obvious it didn't work. Normally I get along pretty well with my MIL but there are some things that she just has a hard head about. I think the sun i helping maybe, and I will try the baking soda. I have just been too busy to deal with it, and don't think I should have had to. Anyhow thanks for all the advise!

just douse it in the backing soda.. and sit it out in the sun and forget about it for the day. dont worrie with it. let it sit out there n do it's thing then bring it in at the ned of the day and rise it out. n see what happens.
