Taz has been my faithful ride for almost 17 yrs. I sold off all of my other horses and placed him at friend of mines house. This was done because horses are herd animals and her horse was also alone. This way he had companionship. Do to a sudden unforeseen change in their circumstances I need to get Taz here ASAP. I had no warning. But I must admit, it will be good to have him home! I am riding him home tomorrow. This should be fun, he hasn't been under saddle in over 8 months!
Oh boy is right! I hope all will go well with you. Of course, you know how that goes. Now you need another horse to keep Taz a companion. Then you need one to keep horse #2 a companion while you ride Taz, and if you go and ride two horses .
Just be careful, promise?
I will be careful, I promise! I am picking him up this morning. It promises to be great fun. I have to catch him in a 2 1/2 acre pen by myself. Then I am going to have to ride him cold around 9 miles across the desert, by myself. I think I am going to have to take one of my xanax for this one. I am trying to get a friend to at least stop by for the actual mounting. If he is going to blow, that will be when it happens. Once I am on I will be good. Since Taz in somewhere in his 20's, a good 10 15 minute jog will take the edge off of him. I can honestly say in the 17 years that I have been riding him, he has NEVER ONCE, bucked, kicked, bolted, reared, struck or tried to bite a person or another horse. He will ride double, and pack anything you put on him no matter how noisy it is. I have only come off of him twice. Once we out riding, going up a hill, it was almost dark and suddenly there was a huge tree trunk in front of us. When he jumped it, I was already leaning forward and ended catching my bra on the saddle horn! LOL. It broke and I fell. He stopped and looked at my "ummm, what are you doing"? The first time, was right when I got him. He was a stone cold wild mustang and it was my first mount on him. I was told he was green broke and apparently, he wasn't. So wish me luck guys and I will post pictures of him when I get back.
