For those of you that assisted in the saga of Mildred and her bumblefoot last year, I am sad to report she has it again. Here we go again. Removed a couple of bumbles from both feet day before yesterday. Poor girl. She's such a good duck.

No! What is it about her? Or just one of those things. You know what you are doing. I pray fervently she will heal thoroughly and quickly. Oh, Mildred.... So beautiful....Such a good duck...

I'm sorry to hear this, hopefully you caught it early and can get it healed up quickly, your a great duck mom to do this for her.

Well, Mildred, is in a sorry mood (darn she can bite), but certainly understandable. She hates sickbay, etc. Human is a bit bummed. We are incorporating the potato poultice this morning. Probably should have started with that. She's developing impeccable aim for expressing her opinion on the subject - lots of laundry. She's eating and chattering, but when I cleaned the bandage last night things did not look at all improved. Must not have gotten all the core out. Or there is still something in the foot. Potatoes here we come!

One foot is quite improved. Second not so. Potato poultice to the rescue (I hope). Mildred had taken up residence in the bath tub. The kennel was pretty small and confined. She likes the new digs better (not sure the human does, but there you go). Her in the house is driving the dachshunds crazy....Sherman wants a new friend, but will have to settle for kibble. :0( Espsom salts soak then potato poultice applied yesterday. Will see how she is doing today. She's chattering like crazy with me. Need to bring one of the girls in for company for awhile.
