We put the milk crates in the coop so we could sit on them when we're hanging out with the chickens. But our chickens love to play on them like a jungle gym! We stack them and they hop right up. A friend of ours uses these milk crates, with one side cut out, as nesting boxes. He gave us quite a few when we built our coop, but we decided to just build boxes instead. So now, these serve as seats/monkey bars. LOL
