I am currently buying nutrena and am happy with it. There is a mill not too far away. They sell 5 dollars cheaper per 50 lbs. Should I change? Is milled feed better?

Looks fine. I would go with the mill feed. What a savings.Make sure good date and fresh.:)

God I wish we had an organic mill near by that will do an organic no corn no soy diet. Anybody know of one near northern KY? :idunno:)

I prefer fresh milled feeds, but I'm also picky about the recipes, in the end it all depends on your goals. Go with what works best for you.

Southern KY...
KENTUCKY ORGANIC FARM & FEED 4035 Guthrie Rd, Guthrie, KY 42234
(270) 265-5004

They do have a truck route but I don't know where they run to. Checkout the Fetrell website if you find a dealer near you, they'll know where to get good feed.

Thanks rjohns39!

The local feed mill hasn't been the best choice for me; their feed just didn't work out, and it's mash, not pellets or crumble (because of the expensive machinery needed), which is another problem for my flock.
I'd like to support a local business too, but it just wasn't a good fit here.
