Parents are full siblings and same pair produced both chicks. Less than 1/8 show coloration of interest. Gray likely hiding half.
Dam. Color pattern looks a little like wheaton, but recessive and down coloration is best described as butterscotch (chick still drying like mother). Older pullet in lower left. Chick to right is a gray with black tail.
Wet.
Sire in full bullstag feather. He is het for silver / grey. Allele making for almost solid color pattern same as that making dam reddish all over. I think it is the same allele making for brown-breasted brown red. My brown-breasted brown red looks a lot different than those produced by cackle. I am pretty sure the allele also important in making redquill pattern when interacting with either dark brown or extended black.
I have better images of dam but having trouble finding them. Likely on old computer.
