Mille Cochin Info

Aren't your birds already so much closer though? I can't wait til they are all old enough to mate. I am so curious what their babies will end up like.

They all get along well, except the older darker girl chases the others around. My Mottled, Buff and lighter girl have all decided to be broody and share a nesting box together. They are sitting on probably 20 eggs LoL

All of the outcrosses have off color. Your girl is the closest besides one other pullet that I have from that outcross. All the roos are either too white or all black.

Here are some updated pictures of my adorable Cochins from Lynne:

The girls – formerly F8 and F6

*heavy sarcasm* You can see how unfriendly they are – makes it hard to get good pictures

Dora – bit darker of the two – dainty but full of explorer spirit:

Columbus – lighter, bit bigger – happy to follow Dora:

I am so very pleased with them so far and will try to get better pictures as they get a bit older. All four are so very friendly; the boys are just starting to mock fight each other.

WOW! Horse Feathers, your girls are to die for. Im so sorry to hear about your darling splash rosecomb girl

Too bad you couldn't find that little chick. It's always our favories

HorseFeathers - LOVE Dora and Columbus. Did you buy them as chicks or did you hatch them?

I picked up a second pair of MFC today

I think I got a better roo to cross with my pretty pullet. This new roo has better color and better type IMO. He and the two hens can go in together. The roo I bought yesterday, who has excess white, will probably get paired with a buff hen. Maybe tomorrow I can get pics of my two new lovies
