Mamma, What an awesome hatch rate! were those shipped eggs? What kind of incubator do you have?

Paradise, they were not shipped. I won an auction here on BYC and the owner of them passes by my house on the way to work each day and dropped them off! I have a Genesis 1588 with auto turner and I had it in the basement and ran it at 25-35 percent humidity until day 18 and then at 65. It was my best hatch ever!

I popped a couple in for hee haa's last year and they were first and second of their variety... no others were there. I was thinking it would be cool to get them out there..... then, I saw them next to real cochins and wanted to tuck them in my shirt and slink away

Their color is just beautiful but, many wouldn't even call them cochins just yet.

MS Bear--I can just picture that! I thought the same thing would happen bringing mine to show this fall. But I'm gonna do it. The milles will look pretty scrawny next to a black or white. But hey, the beginning structure of anything is not at all like a finished product. (Statue of Liberty was raw metal... Mt Rushmore was big rocks....quilts are just fabric & thread....paintings are canvas & paint)
