I do believe your getting the most birds from the most different people.

Yours are just wonderful. Can't wait until you start selling eggs.

How many Mille Fleurs do you have now?

My little 6 chicks are doing great. One flew out of the brooder today.

I've got 13 Mottled Cochin eggs going into the bator tomorrow. I'm hoping to make my own line of Mille Fleurs. Can't wait until my birds all grow up.

I just wanted to share my most recent pics of Chick Down.

I was fortunate to hatch two MFC chicks & a Mille Fleur D'Uccle this week. Here are two pics I took of the chicks. The down on my chicks is getting closer in color to the D'Uccle.

Chick in foreground is the D'Uccle

Chick in foreground left is D'Uccle & foreground right is MFC. I think the similarity is getting close.

Hi Lynne!

Beautiful Babies!

What percentage of your MFC bred chicks would you say develop the MF pattern? What generation is the chick in these photos? It would be interesting to see how much veriation there is in the d'Uccle as well...

Thanks for sharing!
I''m saving Candy's eggs, JUST IN CASE I can get my greedy little hands on an incubator in the next few days...

'Morning KinderKorner!

I've got 8 MFC project birds now and 3 more coming from Amazon Doc SOON! Two of my pullets have started laying so I'll be either selling or hatching eggs in the near future...

Nancy,

I'm getting 100% with the MF pattern. Some are better than others but in my F3 breeding, the majority of the pullets are really showing good pattern, type, cushion & feet. I still have a ways to go with the cockerels. Not happy with them yet.

I hatched close to 100 chicks this Spring/Summer. All of the pullets (except 4) look very similar to the ones I sent you. Some had more distinct pattern but they all looked alike. In fact, I had to start banding immediately when I took them out to the grow-out pen as I couldn't tell one from another.

The chicks in this photo are F3's from Cassanova.

Nancy,

You have seen this pic but I thought I would post it here.

This is a pic of Cloud, one of my special girls. She is not the correct color but still one of my favorites. It shows here in the grow-out pen with some of her sisters. You can see how much they all look alike.

I just think this is PHENOMENAL, Lynne! I know that we still have to work on 'perfecting' the color/pattern and have lots of work to do on 'type' but it looks to me like you've proven that the Mille Fleur Cochin is a REALITY! I for one, am VERY grateful for all the dedication and hard work that you, and MIKE and JOSH and IONE and many others that I haven't "met" have put into developing these very special cochins...

To those of you whom I haven't named, I apologize. I know there are many others who have been dedicated to developing the MFC! I'd be happy to "meet" you ~ please visit my blog (and leave a comment) or drop in on the MFC Yahoo group and join us as we continue to work towards getting these exquisite birds recognized!

Yes, Lynne, Congrats! Your color is getting better and better. I just love your Millies. And, Nancy, that pic is just too cute! That's a great little trio.

And, yes, there are so many who deserve credit for this color in Cochins. Without all of them, and their hard work, this color wouldn't be where it is today. Thanks, guys!
