I took this picture yesterday. I knew the one girl had gone broody, but hadn't checked to see how many eggs she was sitting on. I noticed she was off her nest eating and streching, so I took a look. The pullet moved in while she was away. She was not happy about it. I counted 17 eggs.

Oh, I always have eggs available. I have 8 breeding pens right now and can only set so many. I sell some, eat some and set some more. I try to remember to put up auctions for a dz plus but am usually very busy.

This one is laying small eggs right now but I hope they will soon get big enough to set. She's a little cutie.





I hope to be able to use these some in my breeding pens this year. I am still watching them grow up and waiting to see if the eggs get bigger.

That little pullet is just hilarious. Sitting on a great sea of eggs with an innocent look on her face as Miss Broody comes up to give her a piece of her mind!

I have some of WestKnollAmy's eggs in lockdown right now - 2 more days until I have cochin popcorn popping in my bator!

Amy you have beautiful birds! I just ordered 2 dozen from Luckypickens and b from Swheat so I dont have any room for more right now. I will have to keep you in mind and watch the auction thread. I want to buy off there because I am trying to build my rating up. I have not had any ratings yet because I have not bought off the auction thread but directly from people I have gotten in conversations with.

I will keep you in mind. I know you have gotten some from Luckypickens too.

Very pretty Amy. I wish mine were that typey. I have a nice mottled young man over these girls. I have already hatched out quite a few.

My last Mille (from my first three) finally started laying! I have 4 of my own eggs in the incubator right now and I am saving some to sell. I hoped to get 6 for auction in less than 6 days... They have been laying every other day. I have 2 more 19wk old Calico/Mille girls still growing out. I hatched 2 buff Columbian pullets and unless they are really bad quality, I will keep them to put with Byron. He should be able to fix any issues they have! Shame he's so nasty... He's so pretty.
