Hi Dyann,

I call him Weird Willie. Some weeks I think he's over being too protective of his gals, but then...It's hard to take him too serious as he's just a ball of feathers. And he is so good with the gals. I think he has giving me some very nice chicks, so I'm thrilled to have him. I've already got my eye on two rooster chicks that will probably replace him next spring. Do you know someone who needs a beautiful rooster for their Mille project? I think it would be nice if he could spread his good genes.

Yes, lets get together again at the end of summer when we can trade some of our extras and mix our genes up a bit.

I just hatched 9 mottleds out of 9 mottled eggs from my rooster Dudley. I'll get pics later.

That is a good hatch rate can't beat 100%.

I know right. My roo Dudley is only 10 months and the hens are 11. They are my blue mottled project.

Post lots of pics of the cockerel, I was really wanting to buy him but I let him go. I would love to watch him grow and fill out and i think many others here would as well.

I will, for sure. I have high hopes for him. I was having a hard time getting pictures of everyone and he was the 2nd worst... Not holding still and darting around like a mental bird. He did stop long enough to grab some bread and run again.

Yeah, my MF was terrified at first but know he is the nicest and prettiest bird around.
what color MF was your cockerel again. Cadeau told me but I forgot.

I have one roo and this cockerel from Cadeau. My roo is more mottled with red hackles/saddle feathers. I sold my back-up roo who was calico (very little black at all). This cockerel from Cadeau has the breast flowers I need for my girls. None of my girls have them. I thought Milroy, my dark roo, would fix that but all my chicks from him are coming out dark like him. I think I should have kept my calico boy now.

o, and you should chech out the cochin contest in my signatue. But, Cadeau gave your cokerel a name. I think she said mahogany mille fluer. Is that correct. How can I get a roo this color anyway though?

The pullet is mahogany, the cockerel is lighter. He may be, though.
