Thanks Nancy.

Each day I notice more black coming in on his breast feathers. Is this good or bad? I was looking at him today while he perched on my arm and noticed small feathers that are white, then. black, then brown. When my camera batteries finishing charging I'll get a closeup.

Thanks Nancy.

Mike,

He is really looking good. Yes, you "want" the black in his breast feathers :)

I do believe he loves to pose for the camera! Look at that face! He knows he is a handsome boy! Obviously, he is the apple of your eye!
He is a camera hog. If it's out he will find you and won't let anybody else near except his favorite broody and her chicks but they don't get to have there photo taking. He is quite the roo.

Quote: Ok, so here's an update.

When I first posted, I only took pictures of the one pullet. But theoretically these chicks may have come from either pullet, the other was too busy hatching for a photo op. I did find a picture taken from above of the three at a feeder:

The 2 hatches I have going now should definitely be from the couple on the RIGHT : ) I am Oh So interested to see if their chicks are darker than the 2 that are hatched out already. And now for the progression: Here are the babies at about a week:

They have a LOT more white spots? chevrons? ~help me out here... than any of their parents did at their hatch, so I'm hopeful for some lighter coloring on these guys : )
