Mille Cochin Info

I'd like to add something to #2 .. Another reason starting with d'uccle would be a huge waste of time (aside from the obvious type dilema) would be pattern problems. Mille fleur pattern absolutely would NOT be automatic on subsequent generations if crossed to a non mille fleur bird. I've seen this by breeding an excellent marked MFC to an excellent typed mottled or buff columbian. Either one you pick, your pattern is ruined for 2-3 years. so, it just makes sense to stick with the cochin breed.

I know this has nothing to do with our conversation but, I saw this on my Facebook page and had to share it with you guys.. CRAZY

eta: I just read some of the comments and apparently many believe it's fake.. It looks real to me
Eeeewwww! Awesome video! Yes, it is very real, follow the shadows.
Also click on a link that pops up after that and see an Eagle drag a goat off the mountain. A baby is not nearly as big as a goat!

ETA letters that shows I don't proof read.

Erin~ I have had bouts of cocci off and on over the years, mostly when it's been raining a lot and the ground is damp or the shavings get wet from the waterers. One medicine that I have found is Kouagulone A, I get it from Cutlers Supply along with Sulmet. The Kouagulone A stop the bleeding in the intestines and helps the bird heal faster. I usually have better luck with this than the cocci meds. Stuffs pretty cheap too!

I need to move a roo or two and one of them will be this blue mille fleur cockerel. He's now breeding and I set a few eggs to check if he's successful. He's growing nice shape and may even be good for those working on calicos as he has excessive white.

Okay....I am COMPLETELY in love here......
