Mille Cochin Info

Thank you for visiting my website. It is huge and I continue to grow it out more and more!
I hatch very few blues because I hatch so many other birds. However, I am very lucky to have hens that throw blue pullets and no roos!
I advertised these eggs for a while but not many folks were interested. I think they are pretty but need to sell something. I think I am going to put Dan up for sale with one of his hens. He must be a dark blue because he produces blue offspring and I have been told that black can't carry blue. I breed Dan to the Columbian hens or speckled hens and get all blue chicks so he must be a dark blue but he sure looks black and gold to me!
Here is one of this year's girls. I am about to take her out of the grow up pen and put her in breeding with Wizard, like I do most of Dan's daughters.

You all have some gorgeous birds and babies!

The two chicks I got from a great breeder are continuing to grow and feather in reeeally slowly! No cockeral signs yet fingers crossed. And colour is starting to come in. What do people think they are now 5 and a half weeks.

Amy- that boy looks like he will be promising. What boy roo is he out of? I see you have some barred boys as well and a pretty bluish cushion in the 2nd pic. Love your pics as always.

Well they are supposed to be blue and lemon millefleur. I am in uk so not sure if that makes a difference! All the parent birds he had were mf. They are starting to get more colour coming in gradually but thought as they were blue based they wouldnt have any black. Any idea on sex or shall I get better pics?
