I have some chicks hatched out from my males. Looks like several mottled frizzled chicks, some Mille Fleur Cochin frizzle (and a smooth) cockerel. Darn that I'm too far away from you now! I could send you a buttload of cockerels!

What's funny is I still need boys. The one boy I was hoping to keep to replace Junior is crapping out. His cushion is not filling in. I have 2 more in the back shed that I missed during my cockerel clean out. Glad I did miss them... They have breast flowers so we will see how they turn out.

Well, what is wrong with Junior? As long as he has type keep holding that with those hens and try different combos. Eventually something will click and you will have a better patterned bird. What do you have him in with now? I feel he would do nice with a MF/ mottled.

Junior's type is still not the greatest. Junior is not as nice as his dad but nicer than his son's... But his son has breast flowers where Junior does not. I was hoping to put Junior's son back over the girls Junior is in with (also the son's mother). Those girls are my most MFC like w/ breast flowers. Junior isn't going anyplace until I have a good replacement. I got 2 new cockerels from Erin at the Sept 21st swap, but they also are lacking breast flowers. The one's type is nice the other isn't filled in enough to know yet.

I still have 8 or so Byron daughters and 3 Byron sons growing out, too. Of course, the tail eater is still running loose and I have no idea what anyone's type is like yet.
