I think she's gorgeous! I told two of my roosters and will be selling two more...I kept back my best little cockerel to see how he matures...he had the best white/black patterns...but I still am saving up for a pair from Lynne! LOL

Yes, I figured that was the case, but was wondering about the background of his efforts, where his stock originated.

I hatched my 1st MFC's today from Amazondoc birds.

They are 100% yellow so I am not sure what will happen with the coloring...

But they sure are cuties!

Mine are all yellow down as well. I thought Lynne and Amazondoc's birds would have different colors of down...

Right, Doc ~ but I thought that Lynne's have a different background so would have a different down color. Do I have that wrong? Not that it would be the first time that my memory failed me!!

Generally my chicks have a chipmunk pattern but occasionally I do get blond chicks with a red blush. I assume that is why it is called "a project" as nothing is certain YET! When we get to the point that all chicks hatched look exactly alike & mature to the perfect MF pattern, then we can say we have accomplished something.

Thanks Ione! Remember, I confessed to being a sharp learning curve for color/genetics...lol.

I thought that they would be more of the red like my MF Duccles. Silly me.

I have a staggered eggs in the bator to keep me hatching every other day for the next 21 days....woot!

All three of my pullets have been laying now and I am putting EVERY egg in the bator waiting for my first fertile ones!!! I'll have to update the pictures of my quad of Mille Cochins..They are real beauties! If the rain will stop around here, I'll post some this weekend.
