Very nice!Howdy everyoneI've been lurking around for about 5 months now admiring your birds and learning about this beautiful color that you guys are working on. During that time I have also been acquiring my own group of MF cochins, either as chicks or eggs from Nancy, Lynne and Amy. The oldest ones are just now producing their first chicks, but I have to laugh because my very first "MF" chick is a barred/cuckoo looking pullet LOL, just goes to show it's a work in progress!! The other chicks on the ground are too young to tell what they might turn out like, but it sure is fun!!
Nancy, Lynne and Amy have been invaluable and patient mentors to me as I evaluate all the youngsters growing up right now and make the hard decisions of who to keep and who must go. They are all just so **** cute, and have the best personalities!
These birds below are my oldest, now breeding birds.... all of whom came from Nancy.... you might recognize the names of a few of them... Nancy picks the best names! I have about twenty youngsters still growing out from shipped eggs, and about twenty or thirty newly hatched kids of "my" own
I hope I can become a trusted breeder and assist in improving this color variation in bantam cochins, thank you all for sharing all your progress as you go along, you have produced a stunning bird!!
